Fake Notice claims NEET 2021 to be Conducted on September 5, NTA issues Clarification
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency has issued a clarification mentioning that public notice with the subject line – "Conduct of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) - 2021", which was doing rounds in the social media claiming the conduction of the examination on September 5 is fake.
Clarifying that the agency has not issued any such notice, NTA in the public notice stated, "It is vehemently denied that no such Public Notice, declaring the conduct of NEET (UG) on 5th Sep 2021, has been issued by the National Testing Agency so far."
Mentioning that such a fake notice is being circulated by "some unscrupulous elements with a motive to misguide the aspiring candidates/parents/guardians/public at large", NTA has added in the notice dated 07.07.2021 that the agency is "still in consultation with the concerned Stakeholders for finalizing a suitable date for the conduct of NEET (UG) – 2021, keeping in view the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic."

Requesting the Public at large to pay no heed to such misinformation, the notice added, "In view of the above, the aspiring candidates of NEET (UG) – 2021/parents/guardians and other stakeholders are requested to be aware of such unauthorized/fake public notice circulated from unknown sources and to rely only on the Public Notice(s) /information/ dates announced by NTA through its official websites i.e. www.nta.ac.in and https://ntaneet.nic.in. only."
Such notice by NTA has come after a Public Notice dated 05.07.2021 started circulating on social media claiming that "NEET (UG) -2021 will be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English through Pen & Paper mode on 05 September 2021."

"The Information Bulletin containing detailed information regarding the Test, syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation, categorization of seats, examination fee, cities of examination, State Code, etc. will be available shortly on the website https://nta.ac.in and https://ntaneet.nic.in", further mentioned the fake notice.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that NTA, operative under the Ministry of Education, the government of India, had informed that the NEET (UG) 2021 would be conducted in 11 languages, through Pen & Paper mode on 01 August 2021 (Sunday).
While no further decision was taken on NEET-UG, the registration for the exam, which was supposed to commence from May 1, was kept in abeyance.
Although the website got activated a couple of weeks ago, students are yet to get answers to their queries related to the examination which is scheduled to take place in August this year.
