Jaipur: The postgraduate medical aspirants in Rajasthan might need to pay a huge amount ranging between Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.45 crore to pursue highly sought-after PG specializations like MD General Medicine, MD Paediatrics, MD Radiodiagnosis, MD Skin & V.D, MS Ob-Gyn etc. at the private medical colleges in the State.

Pacific Medical College & Hospital:

While the first-year tuition fee for the MD General Medicine Course at Pacific Institute is Rs 1.2 crore in the management quota seats, the fee is Rs 80 lakh even for the Government quota seats. Similarly, the first-year tuition fee for the MD Paediatrics course is Rs 65 lakh for the government quota seats and Rs 95 lakh for the management quota seats.

To pursue MD Radiodiagnosis course at the institute, the doctors will have to pay Rs 1.1 crore first-year tuition fee for the government quota and Rs 1.45 crore for the management quota seats. The fee is Rs 1 crore for Govt Quota MD (Skin & V.D), and Rs 1.30 crore for management quota seats. The institute charges huge fees for the MS Ob-Gyn course as well as the candidates are required to pay Rs 80 lakh first-year tuition fee for the government quota and Rs 1.2 crore for the management quota seats.

MS Orthopaedics is another very popular choice for PG medical aspirants. The first-year tuition fee for this course for the Govt and Management Quota seats at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences is Rs 60 lakh and Rs 90 lakh respectively.

Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences:

Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences is an equally expensive choice for the PG medical aspirants in Rajasthan. The first-year tuition fee for the MD General Medicine Course at Pacific Institute is Rs 1.1 crore in the management quota seats, and Rs 80 lakh for the Government quota seats. Similarly, the first-year tuition fee for the MD Paediatrics course is Rs 65 lakh for the government quota seats and Rs 1 crore for the management quota seats.

Doctors will have to pay Rs Rs 1.1 crore first-year tuition fee for the government quota MD Radiodiagnosis course seats, while the first-year tuition fee is Rs 1.35 crore for the management quota seats. The fee is Rs 1.05 crore for Govt Quota MD (Skin & V.D), and Rs 1.35 crore for management quota seats.

The institute charges huge fees for the MS Ob-Gyn course as well as the candidates are required to pay Rs 90 lakh as first-year tuition fee for the government quota and Rs 1.2 crore for the management quota seats. To pursue MS Orthopaedics course at the institute, the doctors have to pay Rs 65 lakh and Rs 1 crore first-year tuition fees for the Government and Management Quota seats respectively.

Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital:

However, Pacific Institute and Pacific Medical College are not the only institutes that charge such shockingly high fees from the doctors getting admitted to PG medical courses. For instance, Udaipur-based Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital charges Rs 65 lakh first-year tuition fee for the government quota MD General Medicine seats and Rs 8125000 for the management quota seats.

The first-year tuition fee for MD Paediatrics course is Rs 55 lakh for the Government Quota seats and Rs 6875000 for the management quota seats. In the case of MD Radiodiagnosis and MD (Skin & V.D) courses each, the institute charges Rs 84 lakh for the government quota seats and Rs 1 crore yearly tuition fee for the management quota seats.

To pursue MS Ob-Gyn at the institute doctors will have to pay Rs 65 lakh and Rs 8125000 for the Government and Management Quota seats respectively. The first-year tuition fee for the Govt Quota MS Ortho seats at the institute is Rs 60 lakh and the fee is Rs 75 lakh for the management quota seats.

NIMS Medical College, Jaipur:

Jaipur-based NIMS Medical College is another private medical college based in Rajasthan, where the first-year tuition fee for the PG medical courses can range between Rs 20,000 (government quota seats) to Rs 1 crore fee at the management quota seats in some specializations.

The first-year tuition fee for PG medical specialties such as MD Radiodiagnosis and MD (Skin & V.D) is Rs 85 lakh for the government quota and Rs 1 crore for the management quota seats.

Apart from this, fees for popular courses such as MD General Medicine are also high. Doctors have to pay Rs 56 lakh (govt quota) to Rs 75 lakh (management quota). Even for Government quota MD Paediatrics and MS Opthalmology seats, the students will have to pay a whooping Rs 40 lakh as first-year tuition fee, while the first-year tuition fee for Govt quota MS Orthopaedics, MD (T.B. & Res.Medicine), or MS General Surgery seats is Rs 45 lakh. For MS Ob-Gyn, the first-year tuition fee is Rs 55 lakh for the government quota and Rs 65 lakh for the management quota seats.

Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Jaipur:

Popular PG medical courses are very expensive at Jaipur-based Mahatma Gandhi Medical College as well. The first-year tuition fee for MD General Medicine at the institute is 48.5 lakh for Govt and Rs 65 L for the management quota seats. Similarly for MD Paediatrics, the first-year tuition fee is Rs 48.5 L for govt and Rs 60 lakh for management quota seats.

The first-year tuition fee for MD Radiodiagnosis ranges between Rs 60 lakh (govt quota) to Rs 72.5 L (management quota seats). While the govt quota MD (Skin & V.D) course costs Rs 60 L as first-year tuition for the government quota seats, the amount of fee is Rs 75 lakh for the management quota seats.

Jaipur National University Institute for Medical Sciences and Research Centre:

At this institute, the first-year tuition fee for MD General Medicine course is 55 lakh for the government quota seats and Rs 70 lakh for the management quota seats. For the MD Paediatrics course, the doctors will have to pay Rs 48 lakh first-year tuition fee for the govt quota seats and Rs 59 lakh fee for the management quota seats.

The first-year tuition fee for the MD Radiodiagnosis and MD (Skin & V.D) course is also huge as the students will have to pay Rs 75 lakh for the govt and Rs 90 lakh for the management quota seats. Meanwhile, the first-year tuition fee for MS Ob-Gyn course is Rs 59 lakh for the Govt quota seats and Rs 65 lakhs for management quota seats. To pursue MS Ortho courses at the institute, the candidates will have to pay Rs 51 lakhs as first-year tuition fee for the Govt Quota and Rs 61 lakh tuition fee for the Management Quota seats.

American Int. Inst. of Med. Sc., Udaipur:

At Udaipur-based American Institute of Medical Sciences, the first-year tuition fee for the MD General Medicine Course is Rs 3255000 for the Government Quota and 75 lakh for the management quota seats. While the first-year tuition fee for the Govt Quota MD Paediatrics course is Rs 3255000 for the Govt quota seats, the fee for the management quota seats is Rs 65 lakh.

The first-year tuition fee for MD Radiodiagnosis course is also huge as the students will have to pay Rs 1 crore as first-year tuition fee for the management quota seats. However, the fee for the govt quota seats for this specialization is Rs 3255000, which is also the first-year tuition fee for the Govt Quota MS Ob-Gyn course and MS Orthopaedics course. For the management quota MS Ob-Gyn seats, however, the students have to pay Rs 70 lakh and they have to pay Rs 65 lakh for the MS Ortho management quota seats.

Ananta Institute of Med. Sc., Rajsamand:

At Ananta Institute of Med. Sc., Rajsamand, the first-year tuition fee for MD General Medicine Govt Quota and Management Quota seats is Rs 3255000 and Rs 85 lakh respectively.

While for courses like MD Radiodiagnosis and MD (Skin & V.D) the first-year tuition fee for the Government quota seats is Rs 3255000, the doctors will have to pay a whopping Rs 1 crore if they get admitted to management quota seats.

Similarly, for MS Ob-Gyn course as well, the first-year tuition fee for the Govt Quota seats is Rs 3255000, while the management quota first-year tuition fee is Rs 80 lakh. The first-year tuition fee for the Government Quota MS Orthopaedics course is Rs 3255000, while for the management quota seats, the students will have to pay 65 lakh tuition fee for the first year.

While the PG medical courses are hugely expensive at the private medical colleges of the State, the students have to pay a nominal fee to pursue these courses at the government institutes.

For instance, the first-year tuition fee for Udaipur-based RNT Medical College is Rs 7321 for PG medical courses including MD General Medicine, MD Paediatrics, MD Radiodiagnosis, MS Ob-Gyn, MS Orthopaedics etc. The same fee is applicable for SN Medical College Jodhpur, Govt Medical College, Kota, SP Medical College, Bikaner, JLN Medical College, Ajmer, RUHS College of Medical Sciences, Jaipur as well. At SMS Medical College, Jaipur, the students have to pay Rs 7320 as the first-year tuition fee to pursue the PG medical courses.
