FMGE 2023 Candidates concerned over Admit card delay
Delhi: The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on 20th January 2024, however, the admit card for the exam is yet to be released by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for all the candidates.
Previously NBE through a written notice on its official website had announced that the admit card would be released on 15th January 2024. The notice stated that “The admit cards for FMGE December 2023 shall be issued on 15.01.2024 at NBEMS website. The date of issuance of admit card as mentioned in the information bulletin for FMGE Dec 2023 and in notices published earlier should therefore be read accordingly”.
The candidates were asked to download the admit card from the NBE official website. However, the admit card link remains still inactive raising concerns among the candidates. The candidates through social media have urged NBE to release the admit card as soon as possible.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, All FMGs Association (AFA) said, "Despite flawless document submissions, @NbeIndia has not issued admit cards to many FMGs for FMGE JAN 20. Even in the last crucial days of preparation, NBE is causing harassment to FMGs. Why is it always FMGs?"
The information bulletin was released in the month of November last year. As per the bulletin, the admit card was scheduled to be released on 12th January 2024, but NBE had revised the admit card release date from 12th January 2024 to 15th January 2024.
The online application process for the same concluded on 13th December 2023. The final edit window was closed on 1st January 2024 and the final opportunity to rectify deficiencies related to document upload closed on 8th January 2024.
The FMGE-Screening Test has been introduced through Screening Test Regulations 2002. An Indian citizen/Overseas citizen of India possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15.03.2002 shall have to qualify a screening test conducted by the prescribed authority for that purpose as per the provisions of section 13 of the Act.
