FMGE December 2025 Application window to close on December 4th- Here's the exam fee candidates must pay

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the official examination fee details for candidates appearing in the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2025.

The fee structure, payment rules and refund policy have been clearly outlined under the section “Examination Fee” of the FMGE 2025 Information Bulletin.

The FMGE serves as a mandatory screening test for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have obtained their primary medical qualifications from foreign institutions and seek to practice medicine in India.

The exam will be conducted on January 17, 2026, on a computer-based platform across multiple centres in India.

Application forms, once submitted, cannot be withdrawn. Fee shall neither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded under any circumstances. Any claim for refund, adjustment or carrying forward of the Application fee will not be entertained.

HOW TO PAY

The prescribed exam fee should be remitted through the payment gateway provided using a UPI / Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or other modes as may be made available and have been provided on the web page. Fee cannot be deposited through any mode other than the payment gateway available while submitting the online application form submission.

Kindly ensure that the payment made for the examination fee is successful and confirmation of the same can be seen in the application form under payment status reflected as “S” (for successful). In case the status is shown as pending, the payment might be stuck with your bank and might be cleared at a later date. The application submission process is not completed till such time the status of payment is reflected as “S” in the application form. NBEMS shall not be responsible for the rejection of your application due to a delay in the settlement of the payment by your bank to NBEMS.

It is at the discretion of the applicant to make another payment for completing the application submission process. In the event of receipt of duplicate/multiple examination fees towards the same application ID, NBEMS shall refund the excess fees received for an application, retaining the prescribed examination fee, after closure of the application window.

Examination fees in respect of candidates who are absent or have been declared ineligible for any reason shall be forfeited. Candidates are advised to read the screening test regulations and the information bulletin for the FMGE December 2025 session carefully and satisfy the terms and conditions for the fulfilment of eligibility criteria before proceeding with the payment of fees.

Meanwhile, according to the schedule, the online application submission window opened on 14th November 2025. Following this, the edit window will open from 09 December 2025. However, the final selective Edit Window to rectify Deficient/Incorrect Images will start from 29 December 2025. Below is the detailed schedule-

1 Primary Medical Qualification Certificate (PMQC).

2 Apostille/Attestation of PMQC by the Indian embassy concerned.

3 Eligibility Certificate or Admission Letter 4. Proof of Citizenship.

Through the Online Deficient Document Submission Portal. Portal will be closed on 02 January 2026, 11:55 PM (No further opportunity shall be given).
