Hamirpur Medical College to be ready by February next year
Hamirpur: Union Information-cum-Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur said Monday that the first part of the campus of the Dr. Radhakrishanan Medical College near Rangas in Hamirpur would be completed by the second week of October this year.
This building would be on the teaching campus and students would study from the new campus once it was completed.

Talking to reporters, after visiting the under construction campus of the Medical College, Hamirpur today, he said the main hospital campus would be ready by February 2023.
He said that the delay in the construction of the project was due to the Covid pandemic and its related other issues. However, the work was going on at full pace and the Medical College, Hamirpur would become a reality in the coming year.
Thakur said Hamirpur campus of the Zonal hospital campus would continue to be the used by the students and staff even after the completion of the own campus of the College in order to provide medical facilities to the people of the districts of Hamirpur, Mandi and Kangra areas located nearby Hamirpur.
He said a sum of 355 crore rupees were being spent for the construction of Hamirpur Medical College cum hospital and it would have 250 beds in the initial stage.
The Minister also inaugurated a rural based Napkin production center at Narsin village of the district and said it was a matter of pride that this project was the creation of a Self help group for women.
He patted the women folk for doing a lot for the society despite performing various types of duties at home.
