Hold NEET PG twice a year: ABVP tells Health Ministry
New Delhi: Although the schedule for NEET-PG 2022 examination didn't get changed and the exam was conducted today despite objections from several aspirants, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has now urged the Ministry to find a solution of the problem and hold NEET PG twice this year and provide the aspirants with one more opportunity.
In fact, ABVP has further demanded that the counselling for NEET PG 2022 should be initiated only after giving the aspirants a second chance, the association mentioned in its recent Press Release.
Referring to the issue, the National General Secretary of ABVP, Nidhi Tripathi mentioned in the release, "Students across the country have gone through a period of uncertainty due to the problem caused because of the dates of NEET PG. We endeavour to provide ease to the students in the examination of NEET PG 2022. Students serve the country by joining the medical field as a pillar of society. We demand from the government that after considering all the subjects sensitively, students should be given one more opportunity and counselling for the year 2022 should be done only after the second chance examination. We also request the students that along with preparing for the exam, keep your morale strong."
Medical Dialogues had been reporting about the continuous demands of aspirants demanding to postpone the exam to July. The reason for such demands were mainly the factor that there was not sufficient time gap between the NEET PG 2021 counselling dates and the NEET PG 2022 schedule.

Earlier, several medical organizations came forward to support the students including FAIMA and the All India Medical Students' Association (AIMSA). In fact, some of the aspirants reached the Supreme Court as well praying for the intervention of the Court in this matter. However, disappointing the candidates, the top court had recently dismissed the pleas and clarified that deferment will cause hardships to the thousands of those MBBS doctors who have been preparing for the exam
Recently the delegations of ABVP went ahead to meet the Union Health Minister and discuss the issue and requested him to postpone the exam. Despite all kinds of efforts by doctors and associations, the authorities did not agree to interrupt the schedule for the PG medical entrance test and the exam was conducted today as planned.
However, ABVP mentioned in its recent release the "demand for solution for NEET-PG candidates will continue."
Expressing its opinion that the "Government should give one more opportunity to the aspirants of NEET PG exam", ABVP in its release dated 20.05.2022 mentioned, "Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is constantly in touch with the Ministry of Health regarding the ongoing problems among the students concerning the dates of NEET PG 2022 and is continuing to demand solutions. While making efforts for a speedy solution, ABVP twice submitted a memorandum and had discussions with the officials of the Ministry and the Health Minister."
"In the two rounds of interaction, the situation of confusion among the students and their feedback received through MeDeVision was also placed before the concerned officials in detail," it added.
