ICMR-NICPR To Hold Hands-on Training in HPV DNA Diagnostics for Medical Professionals, details
New Delhi- Department of Health Research (DHR) Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India is sponsoring a 1-week training programme on “Hands-on Training in HPV DNA Diagnostics”. The training programme is being conducted by the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, Indian Council of Medical Research-National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research (ICMR-NICPR).
NICPR is a premier institute of ICMR engaged in conducting multidisciplinary high-quality research in major cancers of the country with special reference to cancers of the uterine cervix, breast and oral cavity.
Regarding the training program, ICMR-NICPR has shared an advertisement, as per which the training programme will be conducted from August 5 to 9, 2024.
Those individuals who are interested in participating in this training program have to register themselves through a link or scan a QR code, the registration link and QR code is given in the advertisement. Candidates must register as soon as possible as the online link will be deactivated after the first 100 applications. However, only a maximum of 20 participants will be enrolled for this training program. After the completion of registration, the selection of participants will be done by July 5, 2024.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Faculty of medical institutes, Model Rural Health Research Units (MRHRUs), Multidisciplinary Research Units (MRUs), research institutes/universities with MBBS/MD/PhD and Post Doctoral fellows. In-service candidates should produce a “No Objection Certificate” from the head of the Institution.
COURSE DETAILS
The 5-day training program will cover lectures, interactive sessions, demonstrations, hands-on training, group activities, and assignments in the field of HPV DNA diagnostics.
WHY ATTEND THIS COURSE?
The program is intended to develop and upgrade the skills of the health research personnel, medical college faculty, scientists, researchers, post-docs, and PhD scholars engaged in biomedical research in the field of HPV DNA Diagnostics. This training module for health care workers/ clinicians including researchers will certainly help as a translational step towards cervical cancer prevention and elimination from India.
Moreover, boarding, lodging and travel will have to be arranged by the candidates themselves.
