JIPMER invites applications for submission of proposals for approval from Institutional Committee for Stem Cell Research
Puducherry: Through a recent circular, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has invited applications for submission of proposals for approval from the Institutional Committee for stem cell research.
Faculty and Residents are invited to submit research proposals involving stem cell work by Institutional Committee for stem cell research (IC-SCR) in the prescribed proforma.
The research proposals need to be submitted as per the instructions given below.
1. Two hard copies of the research proposal and a soft copy of the proposal through email are required to be submitted to Member-Secretary, Institutional Committee for stem cell research (IC-SCR) secretariat, Dean Research office, First floor, Administrative block, JIPMER.
2. The proposal should be submitted with signatures of all investigators failing which it will not be taken up for discussion.
The hard copies should be typed either in Arial/ Times New Roman font using both sides of A4 size paper, with font size 11 and 1.5 spacing. Research proposals deviating from the attached format will not be accepted.
The proposals can be submitted throughout the year to reach the office of the undersigned for consideration of approval by Institutional Committee for stem cell research (IC-SCR).

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) can trace its origins to the 'Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry' established by the French Government in 1823. In 1956 foundation for new medical college was laid and in 1964, hospital was inaugurated.
