KEA Extends Reporting Time For NEET Counselling Candidates
Karnataka: Through a recent notice, Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has informed that the dates for downloading admission orders and reporting to the allotted college are extended for NEET UG candidates
KEA conducts the counselling process for undergraduate medical, dental, ayush courses across Karnataka.
As per the notice, the date of downloading the admission order is extended up to 15th February 2022 till 5:00 pm, and the last date for reporting at the allotted medical/dental/ayush college for choice 1 candidates up to 16th February 2022 till 5:30 pm.
All candidates who take admission to a medical course shall undergo 1 year compulsory rural service in a Government hospital as per Karnataka Compulsory Service Training. Candidates will be entitled to only temporary registration till the completion of such service. They will not be entitled to permanent registration until they complete the same.
Only qualifying for NEET-UG does not assure admission to the candidates. The candidates must fulfill eligibility conditions, complete the registration process, and submit the required documents. The counselling comprises two rounds and a mop-up round conducted if any seats are left vacant after the second round. The counselling process has 4 stages registration, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting. The whole process of Karnataka NEET counselling will be held online.
Candidates must be a citizen of India and have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from an institute located in Karnataka. The parents of the candidate's parent must be a domicile of the Karnataka state.

The Government of Karnataka established Common Entrance Test Cell in the year 1994 for conducting of entrance test and determining the eligibility/merit for admission to the first year or first semester of full-time professional courses for Government share of seats in medical, dental, and Ayurveda.
