Maharashtra: MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS exams postponed
Aurangabad/Mumbai: UG exams for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS and other health science courses have been postponed till June 10. These exams, scheduled for June 2, will now be held between June 10 and 30.
Earlier, the exams in these categories, which involve around 40,000 students, were scheduled for April 19. Due to the rise in Covid-19 cases, the state postponed it twice. The latest decision made the third postponement.
The announcement was recently made by Maharashtra Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh. He said medical examinations, starting from June 2, will now be held from June 10 to 30. Moreover, a notice was also released by the MUHS on its official website informing about the effect.
The notice clearly mentioned:
Winter-2020 Examinations | Earlier Date of Commencement | Rescheduled date of Commencement |
Phase-III : Remaining UG Courses i.e. I,II,III year and University UG/PG/Certificate Courses | w.e.f. 02/06/2021 | w.e.f. 10/06/2021 |
The decision was taken after a discussion with Dr Ajit Pathak, the Controller of Examinations of the University of Health Sciences at Mantralaya in Mumbai.
