MBBS, BDS Admissions in Tamil Nadu: Here is the fee structure for this academic year at private medical colleges
Chennai: Recently, DMER (Directorate of Medical Education & Research), Kilpauk, Chennai released a notification regarding the fee structure of MBBS courses and BDS courses for the academic year 2023-24 in private institutions under the selection committee.
The private colleges mentioned under DMER Chennai will take admission through various quotas namely Government Quota, Management Quota, NRI quota and NRI Lapsed quota.
The tuition fees for private MBBS colleges in Chennai remain consistent across all institutions for the Management Quota, NRI Quota, and NRI Lapsed Quota categories. Specifically, the fees for these categories are set at INR 13,50,000, INR 24,50,000, and INR 21,50,000 respectively.
The tuition fee ranges from INR 4,35,00 to INR 4,50,000. Colleges including Karapaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Science and Research, Tagore Medical College & Hospital, Annapoorna Medical College and Hospital, Srimuthukumaran Medical College Hospital and Research Institute, KMCH Institute of Health Science and Research and Madha Medical College and Research Institute are charging INR 4,35,000 under Government Quota.
Sri Mookambika Institute of Medical Sciences, Velammal Medical College & Hospital, and Karpagam Faculty of Medical Sciences & Research have established a fee structure of INR 4,40,000 for the Government Quota category.
Additionally, institutions such as PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital, Trichy SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Indira Medical College and Hospital, Arunai Medical College and Hospital, Swami Vivekananda Medical College and Hospital & Research, Panimalar Medical College Hospital & Research, St Peter's Medical College Hospital and Research, Nandha Medical College and Hospital and PSP Medical college Hospital and Research among others, are providing the MBBS program under the Government Quota at a fee of INR 4,50,000.
The Tuition fees of ESIC Medical College PGMISR and Christian Medical College are INR 1,00,000 and INR 53,000 respectively for the MBBS course..
The notice also included the fee structure for BDS courses in the state of Chennai under various quotas.
Prospective candidates opting for admission through the Government quota will be subject to a tuition fee of INR 2,50,000. For those selecting the Management quota, the prescribed fee is set at INR 6,00,000, while candidates choosing the NRI quota will be required to remit INR 9,00,000.
