MCC AIQ NEET PG Counselling 2022: 10,954 MD, MS, PG Diploma seats up for grabs, Maximum In MD General Medicine
New Delhi: There are a total of 10,954 MD, MS and PG Diploma seats available for NEET PG Counselling candidates this year, the maximum being in the speciality of MD General Medicine with 1,146 seats.
The confirmation of this aggregate comes from the recently released seat matrix on the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) indicating the number of MD, MS and PG Diploma seats being offered for NEET PG Counselling as per the categories available in medical institutes across the country.
As per the schedule, the round one registrations for the NEET PG 2022 counselling began on September 15th, the choice filling facility will be available till September 25th. Processing of seat allotment will be done from 26th to 27th September and the result will be declared on 28th September. The reporting will be done from 29th September to 4th October.
Top 20 Specialities
According to the seat matrix for NEET PG Counselling 2022 for candidates seeking PG medical admissions under AIQ quota this year, the maximum number having 1,146 seats are available in MD General Medicine.
This number is followed by MD Anaesthesiology with 1,119 seats and General Surgery with 1042 seats.
MD/MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology has 995 seats for candidates this year while MD Paediatrics has 813 seats.
The PG Medical specialities of MD Pathology has 616 seats, MS Orthopaedics has 571, MS Ophthalmology 475, MD in Preventive, Social Medicine and Community Medicine has 414, MD Radio-Diagnosis has 399, MD Microbiology has 377, MS ENT has 335, MD Pharmacology has 329 and MD Physiology has 313 and MD Psychiatry has 308 seats.
There are 293 seats for MD, MS in Anatomy, 264 in MD Biochemistry, 233 in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, 221 in Forensic Medicine and
204 in the speciality of MD Tuberculosis and Respiratory diseases)/Pulmonary Medicine /MD (Respiratory Medicine).
