MCC issues clarification on non disclosure of West Bengal Medical Colleges in Stray Vacancy Seat matrix
New Delhi : Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a clarification on the Non disclosure/ Non consideration of all available vacant and or surrendered seats under All India Quota during Stray Vacancy Round of NEET Counselling 2021 with respect to MBBS and BDS admissions.
This comes after the MCC of DGHS received representations from some candidates regarding the matter.
In this regard, it is mentioned that MBBS seats of All India Quota colleges of West Bengal were duly considered and published in the Seat Matrix of Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling 2021. The North Bengal Medical College, Darjeeling has been particularly mentioned in the grievance. Hence, it is informed that there were 04 Seats of North Bengal Medical College, Darjeeling in the Stray Vacancy Round which were duly published in the Seat Matrix, the MCC notice stated.
Earlier, the MCC decided to conduct a Special Stray Vacancy Round for the vacant (323) MBBS Seats in an online mode so that the precious All India Quota/ Central Institute/ Central University/ AIIMS/ JIPMER seats do not go waste.
Later, the JIPMER released information brochure for the concerned candidates admitted in 2021 MBBS batch.

1. All the candidates should fill an online form (e-form) by clicking the link below before reporting for admission: https://www.digialm.com/EForms/configuredHtml/827/68596/application.html. Soft copy of recent passport-sized photograph should be uploaded on the form. Provide separate email IDs and mobile numbers for candidates and parents. Take a printout of the submitted form.
2. Complete fee payment procedure through SBI Collect payment portal for JIPMER at https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm?corpID=362853. Choose Academic fee – PHD MSC MPH MBBS BSC BASLP option in the dropdown menu. Refer to the prospectus for correct split-up of fees (as given in page number 15 of JIPMER MBBS prospectus). Fee once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances. Admission cannot be claimed based solely on fee payment. Bring hard copy of fee payment receipt on the day of reporting.
3. Forms to be printed/filled and brought to the venue:
a) Print out of the submitted e-form mentioned above.
b) Admission Fee payment receipt.
c) ID card form – all the fields should be filled and in block letters (Annexure 3)
d) Hostel application form (if applicable) (Annexure 2)
e) COVID-19 vaccination certificate (read below)
COVID-19 vaccination:
Candidates should have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
- Vaccination certificate is mandatory and should be produced on the day of reporting (vaccination is compulsory as per the order of the Director of Health and Family Welfare Services, UT of Puducherry (vide Order No. Misc./Emergency order/12/2021 dated December 04, 2021)).
- There will be no quarantine of candidates. However, if a candidate develops COVID-19 symptoms during journey (fever, sore throat, bodyache, etc.), she/he should report immediately on arrival to the "triage area" located in the SSB Annex (open from 9 AM to 4 PM). Candidates should disclose if they are COVID-positive.
On the day of reporting:
1. Students can enter JIPMER Puducherry Academic Centre after showing allotment letter to Security personnel at the entrance from 9 AM on the above-mentioned dates. Candidates reporting to the admission venue after 11:00 AM on a given day will have to return on the next day for admission. The candidates MUST carry a valid photo ID proof & seat allotment order with them all the time. 2. Produce the COVID-19 Vaccination certificate for entry into the admission venue. Candidates should remain seated in the venue, until they are called for certificate verification.
3. Certificate verification: The candidates should produce the following for verificationand submission.
• Printout of e-form mentioned overleaf,
• All the certificates in original (Annexure 1),
• One photocopy of each of the certificates,
• Six passport size photographs,
• A hard copy of fee payment receipt as mentioned in the page number 15 of the prospectus. (NRI/OCI candidates will be directed for fee payment)
