MCC tells PwD centres to authenticate Signature on Disability certificates issued to NEET PG, NEET MDS candidates
New Delhi : Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed all PwD centres to authenticate the Signature on PwD certificate issued to the NEET PG and NEET MDS candidates.
This notification is in reference to Certificates of Disability being generated online by the designated NEET Disability Centres from this academic year onwards.
"In this regard, it is mentioned that the certificates which are being generated online through the intramcc portal have to be duly signed by the examining doctor and the members of the disability board constituted by the designated NEET Disability Centre, either digitally or by hand and stamped after downloading from the portal for the purpose of authenticity of the certificate," the MCC notice stated.
Recently, the MCC informed all the PwD certification centres which are issuing disability certificates to the NEET PG counselling candidates, about the new option that has been included so the problem in describing the specified disability in correct terms can be resolved.
In its notice, the counselling body mentioned that MCC is receiving emails from designated centres regarding non availability of sufficient options under Specified Disability column while generating the certificate online through portal, which is important to be mentioned on Disability certificate.
Hence, centres are facing problem in describing the specified disability in correct terms and also they cannot proceed further without clicking on some option even when it was not appropriate in reference to the type of disability, it said adding that a new option has been added to solve the problem.
Therefore, MCC has included an option of 'OTHERS' in drop down menu of specified disability so that the centres can proceed by clicking on it and mention the particulars of specified disability in Remarks column.
