MD, MS at JIPMER: List of candidates directed to report released along with allotment details

Puducherry: Through recent notifications, the premier Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has released the list of candidates directed to report to the institute for MD, MS courses July 2020 session. All the necessary details pertaining to their allotment are mentioned below:

1st Batch of Pondicherry Candidates— MD/MS (JULY 2020 Session)

The below mentioned 09 candidates must report to JIPMER on 10/08/2020 (Monday) for admission in MD/MS course — July 2020 Session.

Date and time of Document verification:- 10/08/2020 at 09:00 AM

Venue :- Lecture Hall, 3rd Floor- JIPMER Academic Center

The original certificates as mentioned in the Allotment Letter (along with one set of Xerox copy for all the certificates) and 4 Passport size photographs and required to join the department from the same day after completing the admission process.

If you fail to attend the admission process on the above-mentioned date and time, it will be treated as you are NOT willing to join the course and the seat will fall vacant which will be allotted to some other candidate in the 2nd round of counselling.

No Accompanying person will be allowed to participate at the time certificate verification under any circumstances. Other rules and regulations remain unchanged, as uploaded in JIPMER official website oh 21/07/2020.

1st Batch of Candidates — MD/MS (JULY 2020 Session)

The below mentioned 32 candidates must report to JIPMER on 14/08/2020 for admission in MD/MS course.

Additional Information for quarantine:

These candidates need to go under quarantine for 14 days. The quarantine facility will be provided by JIPMER (8 days in JIPMER Guest House and 6 days in the room allotted to them in JIPMER Hostel).

All these candidates need to report directly in JIPMER Guest House on 14/08/2020. They can reach the guest house between 6 AM to 10 PM. Hence, all the candidates must reach Pondicherry
only on 14/08/2020 and not before or after 14/08/2020 and must report in JIPMER Guest House on their arrival and must not go to any hotel/house etc. No Accompanying person will be allowed in JIPMER Guest House under any circumstances.

Other rules and regulations remain unchanged and will be applicable as per the Instruction for Quarantine Process to the students joining for July 2020 Session, uploaded in JIPMER official website on 21/07/2020.

Provisional seat allotment for 1st Round of Online Counselling —July 2020 Session

The final seats allotment for the first round of Online counselling (Annexure — 1) — MD/MS July 2020 session has been published based on the preferences by the candidates in the Online counselling application as per the roster point reservation.

The provisionally shortlisted candidates in the first round of Online counselling are required to, log in to the MD/MS first round of online counselling link/seat allocation portal and actively choose one of the following options from 04-08-2020 to 10-08-2020 — 05.00 PM.

Option 1: I ACCEPT the allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in the further rounds of seat allocation.

Option 2: I ACCEPT the allotted seat and WISH TO PARTICIPATE in second Online Counselling / Seat Allocation

If a candidate chooses OPTION 01, his/her allocated seat will get fixed and he/she will no longer be eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling. If a candidate chooses OPTION 02 to participate in the second and/or subsequent round of counselling and is allocated another seat as per his/her choice in the second round, then he/she will have to join the newly allocated seat. In this case, the seat allocated in the first counselling will automatically be vacated during the second counselling and be allocated to another candidate in the order of merit. If the candidates fails to join in the upgraded seat in the second counselling / seat allocation, then the security deposit & admission fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

An option to REFUSE the allocated seats is NOT available. All the candidates who have been exercised the above-mentioned option 01 or 02 should report to JIPMER for joining the allocated course on the dates that will be informed subsequently.

If a candidate fails to login and choose one of the options detailed above on or before 10-08-2020 – 5:00 PM, the allocated seat will be forfeited, and the candidate will become INELIGIBLE for 2^nd and subsequent rounds of online counselling/seat allocation.

The shortlisted candidates are required to make an online payment of admission fees(Rs. 17,960) & Security deposit(Rs. 50,000) from 04-08-2020 to 10-08-2020- 05:00 PM. If any candidate fails to deposit these amounts within the stipulated date and time limit the provisional selection will be forfeited and he/she will be INELIGIBLE to appear for subsequent counseling. After successful payment, the provisional Allotment Letter can be downloaded from the portal.

The provisionally shortlisted candidates are advised to check their registered E-mail ID/JIPMER official website for batch wise Quarantine process and further notifications.
