1,077 MBBS seats vacant for stray vacancy round in Rajasthan

Jaipur: After the completion of three counselling rounds, Rajasthan has a total of 1,077 MBBS seats vacant under the 85% state quota for the NEET UG stray vacancy round.
Of these, 1,068 seats are in private medical colleges, including 758 general quota seats and 310 management quota seats, while government medical colleges have only nine vacant seats.
On Sunday, the Rajasthan Medical and Dental Counselling Board released the final seat matrix after processing withdrawals following Round 3.
Meanwhile, candidates participating in the stray vacancy round must submit a binding undertaking to join the allotted college within the prescribed time. Under the bond conditions, candidates and their sureties will be jointly and severally liable to pay either the full tuition fee for the entire MBBS course or Rs 10 lakh, whichever is higher, if the candidate fails to comply with the prescribed conditions.

Along with this, the candidates must also deposit all their original certificates during the counselling process. The allotted college will retain the documents until the bond conditions are fulfilled.
TOI reported that if a candidate fails to join the allotted college after seat allotment, the institution can recover the bond amount from the candidate or surety, along with interest at the applicable government rate, legal costs, charges and other expenses.
The board has invited NEET UG-qualified candidates to register for the stray vacancy round, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria. Candidates who exited Round 2 and did not register for Round 3 may also apply if they meet the requirements.
However, candidates marked as "joined" after Round 3 on the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website are ineligible. Those who were allotted a seat or upgraded to another seat in Round 3 but did not join are also barred from participating in the stray vacancy round.
