116 PG Medical Seats left Vacant after 4th stray vacancy round In Gujarat
Gujarat: 4th stray vacancy round for PG Medical admissions was conducted on Saturday (7th May 2022). As per the data released, 116 seats remain vacant in degree and diploma courses in both private and government colleges. The round started with 182 vacant seats.
Given the ongoing COVID- 19 outbreak and compliance with the advisory issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and instructions from the Government of Gujarat, the last round was conducted offline through video conferencing at 10 medical colleges.
As per the data released, Biochemistry has 12 seats, community medicine and forensic medicine have 13 seats each, IHBT has 1 seat, and physiology and anatomy have 32 seats each vacant after the 4th stray vacancy round. In diploma, community medicine has 1 seat, and public health has 2 seats left.
At the beginning of the counselling process, 1411 seats were available. However, 389 seats remain vacant after rounds 1 and 2, in which 63 seats were newly added, and 50 seats were available for new eligible candidates after the reduction in the cut off marks. In this round, seats were allotted as per available vacancy, and vacancy arose due to the cascading effect of that particular seat.
It was earlier announced that the last date for admission for AIQ and state quota counselling conducted by the MCC of DGHS will be 7th May 2022.
ACPPGMEC had handover the vacant seats to the college. It was the college's responsibility to fill them. The time limit was very limited to fill the such number of vacant seats.
The final rank wise result and final last rank are also released. A total of 1414 candidates have been admitted to PG degree and diploma courses till now in this academic session.
