1221 MBBS seats available for Management Quota admissions, TN Health releases Tentative Seat Matrix
Tamil Nadu: Through a written notice Tamil Nadu Health (TN Health) has released a tentative seat matrix in self-financing medical colleges under management quota for MBBS admissions. The list of candidates called for certificate verification has also been released.
Tentative seat matrix for MBBS course in self financing medical colleges under management quota –
Total seats allotted are 1221 across 36 colleges. Highest number of seats are allotted to Trichy Srm Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Trichy, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College And Hospital,Perambalur, Karpagam Faculty Of Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore,Madha Medical College And Hospital, Thandalam, Chennai, Panimalar Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, Chennai,Tamil Nadu, Arunai Medical College & Hospital, Tiruvannamalai which is 52.

TN Health has further notified on Seat matrix and principles of seat allocation for 30% MBBS seats. CMC Vellore Staff has 10% quota and Minority Network (MNW) category has 20% quota.
10% CMC Vellore Staff quota seats –
According to TN Health 10 seats are for candidates belonging to the CMC Vellore staff quota. This category is for candidates whose parent has served as staff of CMC Vellore for a minimum period of 10 years, and who have been certified for the MBBS course at CMC, Vellore by the Institution (without insisting on their belonging to the Christian community) and who have undertaken to serve in the Network hospitals for a minimum period of 2 years after completion of the MBBS course. The top 10 ranked candidates from this category, who attend the Tamil Nadu counselling for CMC, Vellore will be selected.
20% MNW category seats -
The CMC Vellore Network associated Churches and Christian Organizations who have certified candidates for the MBBS course at CMC Vellore are 40 in number, each of whom have sponsored multiple candidates towards the 20 MNW category seats. The 20 MNW category seats will be allotted to the top ranked candidates from among the 40 MNW Organizations, in order of rank, not exceeding one seat per organization. Any seats falling vacant in the MNW category, after the round 1 of counseling, will be available for the MNW Organizations, who did not have any candidates selected in the round 1, based on the NEET rank list.
TN Heath has made clear that the seat will be allotted to candidates with NEET-UG 2021 marks equal to or above the 50%.

The candidates allotted(70% Christian Minority ) for admission to the MBBS course at Christian Medical College (C.M.C.) Vellore must bring all original certificates for verification on 28th February 2022 at 11.00 am. The candidates have to report to the Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, 162, Periyar E.V.R. High Road Kilpauk, Chennai 600010.
