13 seats withdrawn from NEET SS counselling 2025, MCC reschedules special stray vacancy round after addition of 33 TN seats

According to the MCC notice issued in this regard, the Tamil Nadu State Selection Committee reverted the 33 vacant in-service seats after completing the state's Stray Vacancy Round for in-service seats. These vacancies are now being added to the seat matrix for the Special Stray Vacancy Round of All India SS Counselling 2025.

The development comes in compliance with the Supreme Court's September 17, 2026 order in Tamil Nadu Medical Officers Association & Anr Vs. Union of India & Ors., W.P. (Civil) No. 771 of 2026. Following the addition of the Tamil Nadu seats, MCC has revised the timeline for the Special Stray Vacancy Round.

Therefore, candidates were given time to complete their registration until 7:00 PM on September 29, 2026. T Below is the detailed revised schedule-

Along with this, the MCC has removed a total of 13 seats from the seat matrix for the Special Stray Round of Super Speciality (SS) Counselling 2025, after receiving information regarding duplicate seat entries and an offline admission made by an institute.

In an urgent notice issued by the MCC in this regard, candidates have been informed that the identified seats have been removed before the commencement of seat processing. Candidates participating in the Special Stray Round have been advised to take note of the revised position while exercising their choices.

Of the 13 seats withdrawn, 12 were removed after being identified as duplicate seats, while one DNBSS Nephrology seat was removed following information regarding an offline admission by the concerned institute. Below are the detailed vacancies-
