1682 MBBS, BDS Seats Remain Vacant For Stray Vacancy Round In Maharashtra
Maharashtra: 591 MBBS seats and 941 BDS seats have remained vacant after 2 rounds of the NEET-UG counselling. With National Medical Commission (NMC) recently approving 150 new seats at 2 separate medical institutes, the overall total seats for MBBS count up to 741.
Admission process of NEET-UG-2021 for MBBS/BDS courses has started and round 2 of admission was completed on 14th March 2022. The seat allotment for MBBS/BDS is conducted on the seats permitted by the Medical Council of India or Dental Council of India and affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik Only. Candidates who have joined through AQI or Deemed Quota in rounds 1 or 2 of AQI counselling are not eligible for state counselling.
Recently Bharatratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College, and Teaching Hospital, Pune has been permitted for MBBS admission by NMC. The college has been permitted 100 seats.
