28,469 PG medical seats up for grabs in MCC Round 3 NEET PG counselling 2025, check complete seat matrix details

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the official seat matrix for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) Round 3 counselling for the academic year 2025, showing newly added seats, vacant seats, and virtual vacant seats.

The seat matrix indicates the number of MD, MS, and DNB seats available in Round 3 and how each seat category affects the choice filling process.

The MCC NEET PG 2025 Round 3 seat matrix clearly shows the number of postgraduate medical seats available after Rounds 1 and 2 of counselling. These seats are categorised into three important categories i.e. newly added seats, vacant seats, and virtually vacant seats. As per the data, a total of 28,469 seats are there in Round 3.

NEET PG 2025 NEWLY ADDED SEATS IN ROUND 3

The newly added seats are new postgraduate (PG) seats that were not available in Round 1 or Round 2. These seats are approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) after inspections or an increase in the admission capacity of the medical colleges.

According to the seat matrix, a total of 292 new seats have been added. The detailed seat matrix is ​​given below:
