420 MBBS seats added to MP NEET Counselling- NMC nod to new govt institutes, Index Medical College gets Delhi HC relief
Madhya Pradesh- The Director of Medical Education (DME) of Madhya Pradesh has issued a notice regarding the addition of MBBS seats for the second round under the MP State Combined National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Counselling for the academic year 2025.
Through the notice, MPDME has informed all participating candidates in the MP State combined counselling for NEET UG 2025 that the National Medical Commission (NMC) has granted permission for a 100-seat intake in each of the two new government medical colleges. The two new government medical colleges are the Government Medical College, Sheopur, and the Government Medical College, Singrauli.
Out of these, 85 seats in each college will be available under the State Quota.
Additionally, following a Delhi High Court order dated 22 August 2025 (WP (C) 10990/2025), Index Medical College, Indore has been allowed to participate in the NEET UG counselling for the academic session 2025-26. This adds another 250 MBBS seats to the second-round counselling pool.
With these inclusions, candidates appearing for the second round of Madhya Pradesh NEET UG 2025 counselling will now have more options to secure a medical seat. Aspirants who wish to modify their choice for upgradation can do so via their login on the official counselling portal until 30 August 2025 (11:00 PM).
Medical Dialogues earlier reported that DME Madhya Pradesh released the revised First Round Allotment Opening and Closing ranks of MP State Combined National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Counselling 2025 (MBBS and BDS Course).
