AFMC Pune notifies on Screening Process for MBBS admissions 2024, check instructions, list of required documents

AFMC Pune notifies on Screening Process for MBBS admissions 2024, check instructions, list of required documents

Pune- Through a recent notice, the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune released the detailed screening process for candidates seeking MBBS admission this year 2024 .

Candidates are required to carry the original, self-attested true copies and soft copies on CD.

All the concerned candidates seeking MBBS Admissions in Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune are advised to take note of the following details: -

Instructions:

1. Candidates are required to enter AFMC from Gate No. 5 and report on empty stomach to OIC Admissions at Dhanvantari Auditorium as per the reporting date and time. Certain investigations require a fasting status. Breakfast will be provided once blood samples have been taken. As USG Abdomen will be done on day two, candidates are to report on empty stomach on both the days of reporting. No separate call letters for screening will be sent to the candidates. In case a candidate fails to appear on the stipulated date of screening, it will be assumed that he/she does not wish to appear for screening. No representation will be entertained later in this regard.

2. The shortlisted candidates are required to confirm their attendance for the screening process at AFMC, Pune by 31 Aug 2024, 06:00 PM by sending an email titled “Willingness to attend AFMC MBBS Admission Screening for NEET UG 2024”, mentioning their NEET-UG Roll number and NEET UG score to email Id: oicadmission@gmail.com. Parent/guardian will be permitted to accompany the candidate.

3. Screening Process:

Candidates are requested to go through the Information Brochure available on official website of college www.afmcdg1d.gov.in & www.afmc.nic.in thoroughly.

The various stages of Admission screening will be as follows:

(a) Identification and Verification of documents

(b) Test of English Language & Logical Reasoning (ToELR)

(c) Psychological Assessment Test (PAT)

(d) Interview by the Board of Officers

(e) Medical Examination & Medical Board

4. Reporting time for the Admission Screening Process for two slots at AFMC, Pune is 07:00 AM and 08:00 AM respectively as mentioned for each batch.

5. The candidates will undergo document verification, ToELR, PAT and interview on the same day of reporting. Blood sample collection will also be carried out on day one and USG Abdomen will be done on day two. Hence, it is reiterated that, candidates have to report on empty stomach with minimum 12 hrs fasting (only water is permitted) on the first day. For the second day, a fasting status of 08 hrs is required. Candidates are advised to get their ear wax cleaned before reporting for the screening. All candidates are also advised to read the Manual of Medical Standards for AFMS Entry as available on official website.

6. The above process will take at least 02-03 days for completion. Candidates are required to make arrangements for their stay at Pune and return journey accordingly.

7. Requests regarding change of dates of interview:

Any request for change of interview shall not be entertained except under exceptional circumstances. In such cases, the candidates may submit request regarding change of dates of interview by an email by 31 Aug 2024 at 06.00 PM titled ‘Request for Change of Screening Date’ mentioning their NEET-UG Roll Number and NEET UG score to email Id: oicadmission@gmail.com. Request for change of date of interview over telephone/ post or any other mode will not be entertained. Genuine cases will be accommodated on available days by OIC Admission Cell subject to approval of Dean & Dy Comdt. A confirmation mail will be sent to the candidates by OIC Admission Cell mentioning the new date & time of reporting for interview.

8.Documents to be brought while reporting for screening:

Candidates are required to bring the original, self-attested true copies and soft copies on CD of the following documents:

9. Please note that you may be refused participation in Admission/Screening Process if the above mentioned certificate/documents are not presented for checking while reporting for the same. In case the above documents have been submitted at some other college/Institute, a certificate stating that the following documents have been deposited at the institute from the Dean/Principal of the concerned hospital/institute is to be presented.
10.Call for screening does not automatically make a candidate eligible for admission. The eligibility will be checked at the time of screening as well as at subsequent stages of admission.
11.In case the number of candidates (boys/girls) reporting for screening is found to be inadequate, additional candidates who have registered for AFMC may be called for screening. Candidates registered for AFMC whose scores are below the cut-off score of AFMC screening are requested to keep a watch on the website for any updates.
