AIIMS Bhubaneswar announces stray round counselling to fill up vacant PG medical seats, details

AIIMS Bhubaneswar announces stray round counselling to fill up vacant PG medical seats, details

Bhubaneshwar- All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar has released a notice regarding the Stray Round counselling January 2024 session to fill the vacant postgraduate seats.

The stray round counselling for MD and MS courses for the January 2024 session is going to be held on 27th February 2024. For spot counselling, candidates have to submit some original documents. The venue of counselling is scheduled at 11 am in the Academic Room, Dean's Office, 1st Floor Administrative Building, AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

As per the seat matrix list, there are total 6 departments and 5 categories i.e. UR, OBC, SC, ST and EWS in which have 21 vacant seats. In these 21 vacant seats, there are total 8 seats in UR, 3 seats in OBC, 5 seats in SC, 2 seats in ST and 3 seats in EWS.

1 Date of Birth Proof (10' Certificates).

2 12th Certificates.

3 MBBS Mark Sheets & Degree certificates.

4 Internship Completion Certificates.

5 Medical Registration Certificate (State/Central).

6 Caste Certificate.

COUNSELLING SCHEDULE

Venue

Academic Room, Dean's Office, lst floor Administrative Building, AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

Date & Time

Candidates must report at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar on 27th February 2024 by 11 A.M. (Candidates reporting after 11 A.M will not be considered for admission)

The notice also states some terms and conditions for the proposed counselling-

1 All those candidates who have qualified through the entrance examination stage-I (Online / CBT) for MD/MS. courses (January-2024 session) held on 05th November 2023 will be eligible to participate irrespective of their merit in the Examination.

2 All the provisionally eligible candidates and those who are not holding any seat by allocation are eligible to participate in a stray Round of Seat Allocation.

3 All candidates who have been allocated a seat in any previous round of seat allocation and have joined/reported on the allocated seat as per the procedure of joining/reporting & holding the seat are not eligible for the stray round of counselling.

4 The candidates are required to remain physically present at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar along with the original certificates of qualification on the scheduled date & time while accepting a seat will be treated as on-the-spot admission and original documents will be deposited on the spot. Non-joining on any accepted seat will lead to the imposition of a penalty as applicable to students resigning after admission.

5 The allocation of seats will be made strictly as per the merit of candidates in the entrance examination and on the terms and conditions as mentioned in the prospectus January 2024 of AIIMS, New Delhi.

6 Any candidate submits any document which is not valid as per prospectus and any notice published will be treated as providing false information. For example

a) Submitting a document which is not issued between dates as prescribed in the prospectus and submitted by a candidate to obtain eligibility despite knowing the fact that certification is not valid as not issued as prescribed in the prospectus

b) Applying in anticipation of obtaining the desired qualification and not obtained on the date as Required.

c) False reporting on caste, age, gender, date of acquiring eligibility, date of completion of Internship.

d) Any other information which is not true as required in the prospectus/notice and submitted to dispute at a later stage.

7 If it is established, at any time during the process of Seat allocation of INI-CET January 2024 or later, that the applicant has deliberately furnished incorrect information for falsification, it shall be treated as an attempt to cheat and the candidature shall be annulled and further legal and disciplinary actions will be taken.

8 The selected candidates are required to join immediately after they are found medically fit. No extension will be given under any circumstances and will join on the same day i.e. 27th February 2024.
