AIIMS INI CET January 2026 session Exam Analysis: Candidates give mixed reviews, difficulty level moderate

New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi, conducted the INI CET January 2026 exam on Sunday i.e. November 9, 2025, at more than 130 test cities.

AIIMS will release the INI-CET results on November 15, 2025. Meanwhile, according to the aspirants who appeared in the postgraduate medical entrance test at Institutes of National Importance (INIs), the question paper for the INI CET exam was moderately difficult.

Jagran Josh has reported that the students who appeared in the test have provided mixed reviews of the entrance exam. While several candidates claimed that the exam was slightly easier than the previous session, some aspirants opined that it was moderate, and others noted a mixed variety of questions. Therefore, the exam was of an overall moderate difficulty level.

The students found time management a challenge, especially because of the clinical questions, which were longer, and the scenario-based questions. However, a majority of the questions were similar to those from the previous year's exam.

Based on the students' review, most of the questions were clinical-based and 60 percent of the questions were easy to attempt, Shiksha has reported. Questions were asked from subjects such as Physiology, Medicine, Anatomy, Dermatology etc. and the 4th section was a little tough as per the aspirants.

The INI CET question paper consisted of a total of 200 multiple-choice questions and candidates were given 3 hours to answer them. The exam commenced at 9 AM in the morning and concluded at 12 PM.

Altogether 46-52 questions were asked from pre-clinical subjects, including Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology. Around 70 to 78 questions were from para-Clinical subjects including Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, and Forensic Medicine, and 63 to 73 questions were from clinical subjects including General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Community Medicine, Jagran Josh has reported.
