AIIMS INI SS July 2025 Registrations to begin soon! Check dates

The entrance test for admission into DM/M.Ch./MD Hospital Administration Courses at Institutes of National Importance (INI) for Medical Education namely, AIIMS-New Delhi and all new AIIMS, JIPMER-Puducherry, PGIMER-Chandigarh, NIMHANS-Bengaluru and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology- Trivandrum is held twice in a year for January and July session of respective year. The common entrance test is known as Institute of National Importance Super-Specialty Entrance Test (INI-SS).

In the field of postgraduate and post-doctoral education, the most important function of an Institute of National Importance is to provide opportunities to train teachers for medical colleges in the country in an atmosphere of research and development. Postgraduate and Post-Doctoral students are exposed to newer methods of teaching and given opportunities to actively participate in teaching exercises. The other important objectives of the Institute of National Importance are to bring together in one place, the educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all the important branches of health activity and to attain self-sufficiency in postgraduate medical education. The educational principles and practices being adopted are best suited to the needs of the nation. The objective of INI-SS is to conduct a common entrance test for preparation of merit list as per scheme of evaluation/admission applicable at different INIs for admission in super specialty courses at participating Institutes of National Importance and allocation of single seat to each candidate based on his/her overall merit based on synchronized allocation of seats
