Mumbai: Through a recent notice, the Maha CET Cell has released the counselling schedule and procedure for New Registration and Institutional Level Round for BDS course due to lowering the percentile mark by 10 percentile for Academic Year 2020-21.

The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India recently passed the judgement on 08/02/2021 and allowed the lowering of percentile mark by 10 percentile for academic year 2020- 21 to fill vacant BDS seats. The last date of admission for BDS course is extend upto 18/02/2021.

 Candidates who have already registered NEED NOT register again.
 Candidates who have already registered by paying Rs.1000/- and now eligible can pay Rs.5000 for Institutional Quota BDS seats at Private Unaided/Minority Dental Colleges.
 Candidates who could not register earlier and were eligible as per previous eligibility criteria but failed to register with State CET Cell can register during this process along with newly eligible candidates due to lower revised qualifying percentile.
 Outside Maharashtra Candidates can register during this period. However, such OMS candidates will be ELIGIBLE only for Institutional / NRI quota seats in Private Unaided /Minority Dental Colleges only.
 Candidates registered during this period should note that they will be considered only on available seats as per merit for Institutional Level Round at Government/ Corporation/ Private Unaided/ Minority Dental Colleges.
 For admission to Government/Corporation Dental colleges state quota vacant seats and institutional/NRI quota in private/minority dental colleges candidates should contact respective colleges.

 Procedure of Institutional Round for BDS course at Government/ Corporation/ Private Unaided/Minority Dental Colleges for Academic Year 2020-21.
1. Institutional Round is for Government/ Corporation/ Private Unaided/ Minority Dental colleges and for seats remaining vacant after MOP UP-VI round for Government/ Corporation Colleges and Previous Institutional Level Round upto 30/01/2021.
2. Candidates who are admitted in Private Unaided /Minority Dental Colleges previously and now desirous of admission is permitted to apply for Government/Corporation dental Colleges.
3. It will be responsibility of the institute to verify and ascertain eligibility of the candidate as per respective Central Council rules before admitting the candidate even if name appear in ELIGIBLE list.
4. The list of ELIGIBLE candidates for the institutional round at Government/Corporation Dental Colleges will be published on the website on 11/02/2021.
5. All eligible candidates registered with State CET Cell who have paid Rs.1000/- or Rs.6000/- can apply for admission on vacant State Quota seats.
6. The list of ELIGIBLE candidates for the State Quota and Institutional Quota at Private Unaided/ Minority Dental colleges will be published separately on the website on 11/02/2021.
7. All eligible candidates registered with State CET Cell who have paid Rs.1000/- or Rs.6000/- can apply for admission on vacant State Quota seats. All eligible candidates registered with State CET Cell who have paid Rs.5000/- or Rs.6000/- can apply for admission on vacant Institutional Quota seats. (Provided their name is mentioned in the list of eligible candidates)
8. For institutional round at Government/ Corporation/ Private Unaided/ Minority Dental colleges eligible interested candidates should approach to the Dean/Principal of the respective colleges within prescribed time and submit separate application for State Quota and institutional quota in person or any person. Such type of applications should not be submitted in the State CET Cell in person or email. Such type of applications submitted in State CET Cell will not be considered valid for any institutional level admission process.
9. Vacancy created at Private Unaided/Minority Dental Colleges due to shifting of candidates to Government/Corporation Dental colleges will be added to vacancy position of private dental colleges, which will be filed from waiting list of respective dental colleges.
10. A) For Vacant State Quota (85%) Seats : Please refer rule no 10.11.1. For admission of vacant constitutional reserve seats please refer rule no 9.4.1. of information brochure NEET UG-2020.
B) For Vacant Institutional Quota (15%) Seats : Please refer rule no 10.11.2. of information brochure NEET UG-2020.
11. At the time of admission during institutional round a candidate should submit all his original documents along with requisite fees in the form of DD/Cheque during prescribed time limit.
12. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to submit all his original documents and requisite fees at the time of admission.
13. All the candidates already admitted for BAMS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BPTH/ BOTH/ BASLP/ B P&O/ B.Sc. Nursing courses are also ELIGIBLE for institutional level round for BDS course.
14. Candidate who are admitted to courses other than Health Sciences courses will have to submit original documents and pay requisite fees for confirmation of BDS admission during this process.
15. Candidate who have joined their allotted MBBS/BDS/AYUSH courses seat of All India Quota/ Central University of Round-2 and candidates who have joined a seat in Deemed Universities in Round-2 will not be eligible to participate in Institutional round of counselling as per Notice No. U11011/04/2020-MEC Published by Directorate General Health of Services, New Delhi on 09/12/2020.
16. The admission process should be completed before Cut-off date prescribed for each course that is declared by respective Central Council and Competent Authority from time to time.
17. All the admissions are subject to approval of Admissions Regulating Authority after Cut-off date. The College should upload the information about admitted candidate in College Feedback Module of State CET Cell.
