Beware of touts promising MBBS admissions 2026: ABVIMS, RML Hospital Delhi warns aspirants
New Delhi: Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (ABVIMS and Dr RML Hospital), New Delhi, recently issued a public advisory warning MBBS aspirants against agents and touts falsely promising admission to the institute's MBBS programme for the 2026-27 session.
The institute urged candidates to rely only on official admission procedures and cautioned them against paying money or sharing personal information with unauthorized individuals claiming to facilitate admissions.

The institute stated that it came to the notice that certain persons /agencies are misleading candidates and parents through phone calls, messages, social media platforms and WhatsApp by giving false assurances regarding direct admission in MBBS course 2026-27 in the ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi which is affiliated to "Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU)".
"In this connection, this is to clarify that admissions to MBBS 2026-27 course under GGSIPU are conducted strictly in accordance with the admission procedure, eligibility criteria, entrance examination, merit and counselling process notified by Medical Counselling Committee. Kindly also note that no person/agencies have been authorized by the ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital and/or GGSIPU to guarantee admission in the MBBS 2026-27 course. In this connection, a circular issued by the GGSIPU is also attached for kind information. This issues with the approval of Director, ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi," the notice read.
1. The admission Process for the Academic Session 2026-2027 has started w.e.f. 01.02.2026, the students are advised to visit official websites and for regular updates regarding admission.
2. For admission in any programme of GGSIP University, the candidate is requested to apply through official links.
3. For the sake of safety and security of personal details, the applicants/stakeholders are requested to create their login id and password themselves, not to take help of any third party like Cyber Operators, Admission Counsellor, Agents/louts etc. to avoid any unpleasant incident.
4. It is informed to all the applicants/stakeholders that admission in GGSIP University shall be carried out through a Centralized Online Counselling and offline Counselling, on the basis of merit of the candidates as prescribed in the Admission Brochure 2026-27.
5. The parents/candidates are advised not to fall prey to messages being sent by Agents/Touts/Unknown Numbers. who might have fraudulently got access to the mobile numbers/emails of the applicants/stakeholders.
6. These agents may take away the hard-earned money of the applicants/stakeholders and may even ask them to pay extra money for getting admissions in the institute of the applicant's most preferred choice, though the applicant may have got the admissions to this institute on their own merits.
7. Please note that information regarding Online Registration is provided by the University on the GGSIP University website. The applicants are advised to follow only the instructions as given in the Admission Brochure 2026-2027 and notification/notice/orders uploaded by GGSIP University on its official website and Online Counselling website.
8. It is reiterated that it is the sole responsibility of the applicants/parents to maintain the confidentiality of their personal details and login id/password. GGSIP University in. no manner shall be held responsible for sharing of this information of the applicants to any unauthorized person.
