BFUHS extends willingness submission deadline for round 3 NEET PG counselling

BFUHS Issues Notice on Extension of NEET PG Round 3 Willingness

Faridkot: The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot has announced an extension of the last date for submission of willingness to participate in the third round of Punjab State NEET PG 2025 counselling.

According to an official notice dated January 6, 2026, eligible candidates can now submit their willingness up to January 8, 2026, till 5:00 PM. The university clarified that the remaining counselling schedule has been postponed and will be announced later, in accordance with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) releasing the revised schedule for the third round of state counselling.

BFUHS has advised NEET PG 2025 aspirants to regularly visit the official university website for further updates and notifications related to the counselling process.

This is for the information for NEET PG-2025 aspirants that the last date for submission of willingness to participate in 3rd round Punjab State PG counselling is hereby extended upto 08.01.2026 (upto 5.00 PM). Rest of the schedule stand postponed and will be notified lateron as and when the MCC will release the schedule of 3rd round state counselling, the notice read.

Meanwhile, in their previous notice, the university had released the detailed schedule for the 3rd round of online state counselling for NEET PG 2025 admissions in Punjab.

Schedule

1Display of tentative vacancy position of seats for 3rd round of NEET PG Medical Counseling. Note: The candidates can submit choices/preferences of college/seat as per their choices even if vacant seat is not shown in the vacancy position as the candidates can surrender the seat of 1st/2nd round upto stipulated period and vacancy position will be updated accordingly.02.01.2026
2Date for fresh online registration/application and deposition of application and security deposit for fresh applications alongwith fee of Rs. 5900 (Rs. 2950 for SC candidates) including 18% GST through university payment portal. (fresh registered candidates will have to submit willingness alongwith security deposit for 3rd online counseling . Failing which their candidature will not be considered.03.01.2026 to 05.01.2026 Upto 05.00 PM
3The dates for submitting willingness alongwith security deposit for 3rd round of counseling by all the candidates and fresh applicants). The amount of security to be deposited for submitting willingness will be as under: For Government colleges- Rs. 25000/- (Rs. 10000/- for SC/BC/PwD) For Private Colleges- Rs. 2,00000/-
4Last date of correction/editing in online filled application form. Therefore application will be locked automatically. Once information filled and locked will not be allowed to change in any round of counseling. Note: Since, fresh applications are invited for 3rd round of online counseling under NEET PG 2025, hence already registered candidates of 1st and 2nd round counseling (if any) who intends to edit any Category/Minority Quota/other particulars will give request/application personally in the Admission Branch, BFUHS upto05.01.2026 alongwith relevant proof for consideration in 3rd round of online counseling as last chance. No request shall be entertained through email. Thereafter no request will be entertained.05.01.2026 Upto 05.00 PM
5Last date for submission of hard copy of admission application form at University office for NRI quota seats. Candidates seeking admission under NRI quota are required to obtain Eligibility Certificate from the University prior to apply. (Application form for obtaining Eligibility certificate and admission application form are separately available on University website.)05.01.2026 upto 05.00 PM
6The candidates who will apply under Sikh Minority/Christian Minority Quota will report to the respective minority institution (SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences, Amritsar/ Christian Medical College, Ludhiana) for verification of minority status. The candidates who have already/got verified their minority status at the time of 1st /2nd counseling, need not report to the respective institute for veriffy again. The candidates, who have already registered under Minority Quota during 1st /2nd counseling and did not get their minority status verified, can report to the respective institute for verification of their minority status for 3 rd round of counseling.06.01.2026
7PCMS incentive category candidates will submit hard copy of online Admission Application Form alongwith self attested copies of certificates, NOC and Eligibility Certificate issued by the Competent authority and proof of fee remittance by hand in Admission branch, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. The in service candidates who have submitted NOC during 1st and 2nd round need not to submit NOC again.06.01.2026
8The candidates who have joined the allotted seats of Round-I and Round-II in the State of Punjab are allowed to surrender the seat upto 07.01.2026 by 04.00 PM with Security forfeiture. The interested candidate will have to submit application of surrendering the seat to the Principal of concerned college to enable him to surrender the seat on the online portal so that vacancy for Round-3 will get updated. Note: The vacancy position will be updated in the online portal; hence candidates are advised to fill/review preferences/choices as per automatically revised vacancy.07.01.2026 by 04.00 PM
9Display of Provisional Merit List of candidates who will submit willingness to participate in 3rd round of online counseling07.01.2026
10Last date for submission of objections by applicants in Provisional Merit List (if any) by the NEET PG aspirants through email.08.01.2026 upto 11.00 AM
11Dates for filling/submitting online choices/preferences of college/specialty through online portal08.01.2026 to 09.01.2026 Upto 05.00 PM

Note:- The rest of the schedule will be intimated later on as and when the MCC will release the schedule for 3rd round of counselling under NEET PG 2025.

Eligibility for 3rd Round of Counseling :

• The candidates who can apply afresh for 3rd Round of counseling (These candidates have to pay registration fee and security amount at the time of submission of willingness as per rules)

a) The candidates who will register/apply for the first time.

b) The candidates who have not joined the allotted seat (fresh/upgraded) of Round-II counseling can apply afresh for 3rd Round and they will have to deposit security amount again for submitting willingness and choices/preferences of Course/College/speciality as per schedule.

c) The candidates who exit with forfeiture in round 2 can participate in 3rd Round but with fresh payment of fee i.e. fresh registration and security deposit.

• The candidates who need not to apply afresh for 3rd Round of counseling

a) The candidates who are already registered but have not been allotted any seat in Round I and II need not to register/apply again.

b) The candidates who have resigned/surrendered the allotted seat of 1stonline Counseling with free exit upto 18.12.2025 at 05:00 PM. However, they will have to submit Willingness alongwith requisite amount of security (equivalent to penalty) and will submit Choices/preferences of Course/College/speciality as per schedule.

• The candidates who are not eligible for 3rdRound of allotment.

a) Candidate who has become ineligible due to having inadequate documents as per Eligibility Criteria.

b) Candidate who has not registered in Round 1 or Round 2 or Round 3.

c) The already registered candidates of Round 1 or Round 2 or Round 3 who will not submit willingness to participate in Round 3 counselling .

d) The candidates who have joined the Round 1 or Round 2 of Punjab state counselling and who will not submit willingness to participate in Round 3 counselling.

e) The candidates who are holding any seat of AIQ in any previous round as per list to be provided by the MCC.

Note: Already registered candidates who have deposited security amount in 2nd round counselling and to whom no seat is allotted in 2ndRound, need not to deposit security amount again. However, they will have to submit willingness to participate in 3rd Round, through online payment gateway of University.
