Bihar NEET Counselling round 2 schedule revised after MBBS seats increase by 200 at 3 medical colleges, check details here

Bihar- The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has revised the schedule for Bihar National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Counselling for the academic year 2025 after the MBBS and BDS seats increased by 200 in 3 medical colleges in the state.
Therefore, according to the revised schedule, the candidates willing to change their preferences after the increase in seats can edit their choices from today, i.e. 15th September 2025 onwards, till September 18, on the official website of BCECEB.
The official notice also mentioned that students wishing to participate in round 2 must submit the counselling fee and security deposit. After successful payment, they will be allowed to edit their college choices. If a candidate has already made the payment in round 1, the amount will be adjusted or refunded. However, if the balance payment is not completed, the counselling application will remain incomplete, and the earlier security deposit will be forfeited. The Bihar NEET UG 2025 second round seat allotment result date will be announced later.
As per the official notification issued by the BCECEB in this regard, an increase of 100, 50 and 50 seats respectively has been recommended for enrollment in Madhubani Medical College and Hospital (MMC), Madhubani, Netaji Subhas Medical College and Hospital (NSMCH), Bihta, Patna and, Himalaya Medical College & Hospital (HMCH) Paliganj, Patna, which has been added to the available vacancies.
Moreover, the notice further added that During verification of round 1 allotments, 49 candidates, including 22 belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category had their seats cancelled. Their reservation category, as filled under the Undergraduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC) 2025 application, was reclassified as unreserved. As a result, these seats have now been declared vacant and will be re-allotted in round 2 on a merit-cum-choice basis.
Candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Economically Backward Class (EBC), and Backward Class (BC) categories whose reservation was changed to unreserved also faced differences in counselling fees and security deposits.
