CENTAC extends application deadline for PG medical admissions 2026

Puducherry: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has extended the last date for submitting applications for postgraduate medical (MD/MS) admissions for the academic year 2026-27.
According to the official press release by CENTAC in this regard, candidates seeking admission to MD and MS courses can now submit their applications until tomorrow, i.e. October 29, 2026, at 5 pm.
The committee has made it clear that no further extension will be granted beyond the revised deadline. Candidates who have not yet completed their applications have therefore been advised to submit them within the stipulated time.
The announcement provides additional time for NEET PG 2026 aspirants to complete their application process through the official CENTAC website.
Apart from extending the registration deadline, CENTAC has also provided an opportunity for candidates who have already submitted their applications to update their information.
According to the press release, applicants who wish to make changes to their previously submitted data or certificates can do so by logging into their candidate dashboard.
Candidates can edit the relevant details, update their certificates and resubmit the information through the online portal.
This provision is particularly important for applicants who need to correct information or replace documents submitted during the initial registration process.
In another important clarification, CENTAC has stated that candidates who have already applied under the Government Quota can edit their applications if they wish to opt for the Management Quota.
Such candidates can access their dashboard, make the necessary changes and update their applications accordingly.
The provision allows existing Government Quota applicants to revise their quota preferences during the extended application period.
Candidates should ensure that their updated information is correctly submitted before the revised deadline.
CENTAC has advised candidates to visit its official website for further information regarding postgraduate medical admissions.
