CENTAC Informs on NEET UG NRI Admission, Extension Of Date Course Preference For Round 2
Puducherry: Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) informed about NEET UG NRI admission and extension of the last date of course preference for round 2.
Per the notice, candidates who already applied in CENTAC and applied for Government Quota / Management Quota can opt for NRI quota by submitting the requisite documents in the 2nd round after payment of application fees and 2nd round registration fees.
Candidates who have already paid the application/registration fees for Government / Management Quota MBBS seats should pay the balance application & registration fee for NRI Quota. For participating in the 2nd round MBBS, NRI candidates must pay the registration fee of Rs 200000 (NRI / NRISP/ OCI).
Candidates who have already joined the MBBS course in round 1 can also opt for the NRI quota and have to pay the remaining application fees. Candidates who have joined BDS/BAMS/BVSc&AH (National SS / NRI) should pay the full registration fees and balance application fees.
After successful payment of fees, course preferences for the NRI quota will be enabled, and candidates will have to RESET and SUBMIT course preferences accordingly. Only candidates who have already applied to CENTAC and paid the above fee to CENTAC will be considered for round 2. This amount will be forfeited if the candidate allotted a seat in round 2 fails to join.
The candidates are requested to transfer the registration fee to the CENTAC account through Net Banking or generate NEFT / RTGS challan using their dashboard login credentials and proceed with payment. They should read the help instruction carefully before proceeding with payment.
The last date to pay the registration was 2:00 pm today. The course preferences can be submitted before 6:00 pm today.
Eligibility criteria -
1. The eligibility for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BAMS Degree courses for this academic year shall be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility – Cum- Entrance Test (NEET UG2022) conducted by NTA.
2. Candidates must have individually passed all the subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry / Botany Zoology, and English.
3. They have completed 17 years of age at admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December.
4. The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD.
NEET-UG counselling is conducted by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC). It is a common admission portal for all the colleges of Puducherry and is established by the Government of Puducherry.
