CENTAC invites applications for MBBS, BDS, BAMS Admissions 2021, Details
Puducherry: Through a recent notification, the CENTAC has invited online applications NEET 2021 Qualified candidates for admission to the first year MBBS, BDS and BAMScourses in Government and Self Financing Medical and Dental in the UT of Puducherry.
Applications are invited under Government / All India (Management) /NRI and Self–Supporting (SS) Quota.
Issuing instructions for candidates, the CENTAC has stated in the notification, "Candidates should ensure that they are entering ALL INDIA COUNSELING RANK against NEET RANK while filling up the application."
The last date for online submission of applications to CENTAC is 22.11.2021, Candidates are advised to apply by then at the official website of CENTAC. For more details visit www.centacpuducherry.in.
The process of counselling for MBBS admissions 2021-22 would be initiated as soon as the list of successful candidates for the NEET UG is made available by the Union Health Ministry, an official press note has said.
Though the National Testing Agency (NTA) had announced National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2021 results on its official website at nta.ac.in a few days ago, the Department of Medical Education, Ministry of Health, New Delhi, is yet to communicate to government, the complete list of the result in respect of Union Territory of Puducherry for conducting counselling for admission through the Centralised Admission Committee (Centac), the note said.
The Ministry is expected to release the list soon and the same shall be published in the official website of Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, Puducherry, at https://health.py.gov.in.
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted its 3rd National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2021 throughout the country on 12 September 2021 in 202 Cities at 3858 Centres for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions including those governed under any other law. The examination was conducted for the first time in foreign countries (in Dubai & Kuwait) also. It was also conducted for the first time in the medium of Punjabi and Malayalam, in addition to the existing 11 language mediums.
This year, 16,14,777 candidates had registered for the exam, 15,44,275 were present taking the percentage to 95.63 per cent and 70502 candidates were absent during the NEET 2021 exam compared to the massive rate of over 2.3 lakh candidates being absent during NEET 2020.
