CENTAC invites applications for PG medical admissions, 370 seats up for grabs

Puducherry: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) is inviting online applications from the NEET PG qualified candidates seeking admissions to PG medical courses in Puducherry based medical colleges this academic year.

The admissions will be made into government Quota/Management Quota/Management Quota- Telugu Minority Quota seats.

The last date for online submission of applications is 19 November 2025, Wednesday.

In this regard, CENTAC has also released the Information brochure for the candidates detailing all the important information, such as application fee, number of seats, merit list, stipend to PG, mode of reservation, etc. Below are the details-

STEPS FOR FILLING UP THE APPLICATION

All the candidates seeking admission to the PG Medical courses are required to apply online on the official website of CENTAC. Candidates are advised to read and familiarise themselves with all the foregoing information pertaining to PG Medical counselling 2025-2026 before filling in the application.

Filling up of Application comprises the following-

1 Registration for First-Time Users

2 Filling of Application.

3 Filling of Course Preference (College Courses) should be completed and submitted before the last date for submission of course preferences.

DOCUMENTS TO BE UPLOADED

The candidate shall upload scanned copies of recently renewed self-attested documents obtained from the respective competent authorities (wherever necessary). Original certificates must be produced only at the time of admission to the respective colleges.

1 Passport-size photograph of the applicant (20 KB to 50 KB).

2 Scanned signature of the applicant (20 KB to 50 KB).

3 Proof of Birth - Birth Certificate / 10th Std Marksheet / Higher Secondary Marksheet verification of Date of Birth (100 KB to 500 KB).

4 UG Degree or Provisional Certificate or Course Completion Certificate (100 KB to 500 KB).

5 Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) Certificate (100 KB to 500 KB).

6 NEET PG - 2025 Score Card (100 KB to 500 KB).

7 Transfer Certificate from the institute last studied (100 KB to 500 KB).

8 Residence / Community (100 KB to 500 KB).

9 Candidates applying for Management Quota, should submit All India OBC / SC /ST certificate, if applicable, obtained on or after 1st January 2025.

10 Telugu Linguistic Minority Certificate, if applicable.

11 Freedom Fighter, if applicable.

12 Ex-Serviceman, if applicable.

13 Disability Certificate - To be submitted by Persons with Disabilities, if applicable

14 OCI Card of the candidate for the OCI candidates.

15 Affidavit should be uploaded in Rs 20 e-Stamp paper, duly attested by the Notary, stating that the candidate is not claiming Dual Nationality.

APPLICATION FEE

Payment of the application Fee is mandatory. Application Fee, once paid, is non-refundable. Applications without an application fee will be deemed to be incomplete and will be summarily rejected. The candidate will be able to give his / her course preference only after payment of the Application Fee.

CONDITIONS FOR FORFEITURE

1 If a candidate who has been allotted a seat in Round 2 or subsequent rounds does not join the allotted seat, the amount liable for forfeiture will be forfeited.

2 The amount liable for forfeiture will also be forfeited if the admission gets cancelled for any reason.

CONDITIONS FOR REFUND

1 Refund will be initiated only after completion of the entire admission process. The refund process may take approximately three months to complete.

2 Refund will be done to the same account of the candidate from which the payment was made. The candidates should keep their bank accounts active until the refund process is completed. The candidates are advised NOT to use unrelated bank accounts for remitting the Registration Fee/ Tuition fee amount.

NUMBER OF ROUNDS OF ONLINE COUNSELLING

Counselling will be done as per the guidelines received from the MCC. Allotment to MD and MS is based on the NEET PG–2025 Rank. There are FOUR Rounds of online counselling-

1 Round 1

2 Round 2

3 Round 3

4 Stray Round

Each round of counselling is a separate round and the rules of each round are different. Once any round commences, the rules of that round will apply to all the candidates, even if they were allotted/admitted in the previous round(s) of counselling.

COUNSELLING PROCESS FOR EACH ROUND

1 Publishing of Seat Matrix / Actual Vacancy.

2 Submitting willingness to participate in the Round.

3 Paying Registration Fee for Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Round.

4 Submitting Fresh Course Preferences for Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Round.

5 Course Preferences given in the previous Rounds will be null & void.

6 Publishing Allotment List

7 Downloading of Allotment Order

8 Paying balance Tuition Fee to CENTAC, if any.

9 Physical reporting to the allotted college for certificate verification and admission.

TOTAL NUMBER OF SEATS IN M.D. / M.S. COURSES

1 The number of seats in various NEET PG MEDICAL courses may vary depending on the approval of the concerned competent authorities of the Government of Puducherry.

2 The seat matrices will be published on the CENTAC website after receiving the same from the concerned departments of the Government of Puducherry.

LETTER FOR SEAT RESIGNATION

1 A candidate who wants to resign his / her admitted seat should submit his / her request for resignation in the Online Mode only. After due approval from the Counselling Authority, the Letter of Resignation should be countersigned by the Coordinator / Convenor. The same should be submitted to the concerned college, after which the candidate can collect the “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” from the concerned college. The candidate should also upload the countersigned Letter of Resignation through the link available in the candidate’s dashboard.

2 No college has the authority to permit the resignation of the candidate and issue a “No Objection Certificate (NOC)”. Only the counselling authority CENTAC, after due permission from the competent authority, can permit the resignation of the candidate.
