CENTAC invites fresh applications for BDS, BAMS stray round admissions

CENTAC Opens Stray Round Registration for UG NEET Courses

Puducherry: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has announced the commencement of Stray Round registration for BDS and BAMS under Government, Management, and NRI quotas.

The notification invites fresh applications exclusively for BDS and BAMS to fill remaining vacancies for the academic year 2025-26.

Stray Round Admission

For Stray Round admission to the first year MBBS, BDS & BAMS (Ayurveda) courses in Government and Self Financing Medical, Dental & Ayurveda colleges in the UT of Puducherry, submission of willingness, link for payment of Full Tuition Fees and submission of Course Preferences under Government, Management (MQ) and NRI Quota will be enabled till 15.11.2025, 5.00 pm. Using dashboard login credentials, candidates can register after referring to vacancy positions published on the CENTAC website.

Further, the candidate is requested to submit the Undertaking Certificate (Declaration Form) to participate in the Stray Round, failing which the candidate will not be considered for allotment.

Fresh Applications for B.D.S. & B.A.M.S.

Online fresh applications are invited from UG - NEET Qualified candidates for admission to the unfilled seats in B.D.S. and B.A.M.S. However, only after exhausting the existing merit list, FRESH candidates will be considered for allotment.

Instructions for the Stray Round :-

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE COUNSELLING

♦ The counselling schedule for each Round will be available in the CENTAC website

♦ Allotment will be done through online (computer-based) counselling based on merit and rule of reservation.

♦ Each candidate will be allotted only one seat in each round.

♦ Sliding will be allowed in Round 2 and Round 3 only.

♦ A candidate who opts for sliding in Round 2 or Round 3 and is allotted a new seat, the earlier admitted seat will be automatically cancelled. Under no circumstances will he / she be permitted to retain the earlier admitted seat of the previous round.

♦ If a candidate fails to join the allotted / admitted seat (Fresh / Transfer) within the stipulated time, the seat will be automatically cancelled.

♦ Mutual transfer / Individual request for transfer of college will NOT be permitted under any circumstances.

♦ Provisionally selected candidates can download the Provisional Allotment Order and proceed for admission to the college allotted.

♦ Conversion of Seats - Conversion of Christian Minority Quota Management seats in PIMS and Telugu Minority Quota Management seats in SVMCH&RI for M.B.B.S. and in SVDC for B.D.S. into All India General Management Quota seats will be done in Round 3 only.

♦ De-reservation - De-reservation of vacant seats will be done in Round 3 only.

COUNSELLING PROCESS FOR EACH ROUND

♦ Publishing of Seat Matrix / Actual Vacancy.

♦ Submitting willingness to participate in the Round.

♦ Paying Registration Fee in Round 2 & Tuition Fee in Round 3 & Stray Round. (Ref: Clause13.1)

♦ Submitting Fresh Course Preferences for Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Round.

Course Preferences given in the previous Rounds will be null & void.

♦ Publishing Allotment List

♦ Downloading of Allotment Order

♦ Paying balance Tuition Fee to CENTAC, if any.

♦ Physical reporting to the allotted college for certificate verification and admission.

Options Available to Allotted / Not Allotted Candidates:

♦ Case 1: Candidate is allotted a course. He / She joins the allotted course and college.

♦ Case 2: Candidate is allotted a course. He / She does not join the allotted course and college.

♦ Case 3: Candidate is not allotted any course.

NOTE: Case 1, Case 2 and Case 3 candidates can submit willingness for re-allotment in the successive rounds.

STRAY ROUND

NOTE: The seats that remain vacant after Round 3 will be filled ONLINE in the Stray Round. Sliding will not be allowed from Round 1 or Round 2 or Round 3 to the Stray Round.

ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE

a) Not Allotted Candidates - Candidates not allotted any seat in Round 1 or Round 2 or Round 3.

b) Not Joined Candidates – Those who did not join in the Round 1 or Round 2 allotted seat.

c) Withdrawn candidates - Candidate who has withdrawn from the Round 1 or Round 2 admitted seat, before Round 3.

d) Not Participated Candidates – CENTAC applied candidates who did not participate in Round 1 or Round 2 or Round 3 and not allotted any seat in MCC or any other State Counselling Authority.

NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE

a) Allotted Candidates – Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 3 in CENTAC to M.B.B.S./ B.D.S. / B.A.MS. / B.VSc. courses are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate.

b) Joined Candidates – All candidates who have joined in M.B.B.S. / B.D.S./ B.A.MS. / B.VSc. seats in Round 1 or Round 2 or Round 3 of CENTAC or All India MCC Counselling or any other State / U.T. Counselling Authority are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate.

SUBMISSION OF UNDERTAKING: Candidates must submit an undertaking that they are not holding any M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. / B.A.MS. / B.VSc. seats allotted through CENTAC or All India MCC Counselling or any other State / U.T. Counselling Authority

Payment of Tuition Fee:

1. Refer Tuition Fee published on the CENTAC WEBSITE for the respective colleges.

2. The fee structure for Self-Supporting seats (All India Management seats) of IGMCRI, Puducherry will be as that of the fee fixed for the M.B.B.S. course by the Fee Committee for unaided private Self-Financing Institutes of the U.T. of Puducherry.

3. For those candidates who paid the Registration Fee and were allotted a seat in any of the previous rounds but DID NOT JOIN or resigned the seat, the Registration fee paid has been forfeited as per the allotted quota and round. Hence, such candidates need to pay the FULL or balance of TUITION FEE, if any, for Stray Round and submit course preferences.

Method of Payment

Candidates opting for Government Quota and Management Quota are requested to transfer the TUITION FEE to the CENTAC account through NET BANKING or by generating NEFT / RTGS challan using the payment option available in the candidate’s dashboard and proceed for payment. Read the HELP Instructions carefully before proceeding for payment.

The candidates opting for NRI Quota or NRI and Management Quota should follow the instructions given in the NRI payment link and make payment ONLY through NRE / NRO / Foreign Inward Remittance and submit the payment proof through the link provided in the candidate’s dashboard.
