CENTAC invites fresh applications for NEET PG counselling after cutoff reduction, extends round 1, 2 seat withdrawal deadline

Puducherry: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has announced the opening of fresh applications for PG Medical (MD, MS) admissions following the lowering of the NEET PG cutoff scores for the academic year 2025-26.
According to the official notice issued by the CENTAC in this regard, fresh applications are being invited from candidates who have become newly eligible due to the revised cut-off criteria. Eligible candidates can submit their applications for Round 3 counselling, along with course preferences and payment of the registration fee, through the CENTAC website. The applications are being accepted against vacant PG medical seats published by CENTAC.
The cut-off reduction has been implemented in line with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) letter dated January 9, 2026. The revised qualifying criteria are as follows-

Meanwhile, the CENTAC has specified January 31, 2026 (5:00 PM) as the deadline for-

However, the applications or preferences submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

Along with this, CENTAC has extended the deadline for Round 3 registration and withdrawal for PG Medical (MD and MS) admissions for the academic year 2025-26.
As per the official notice issued by the CENTAC in this regard, the candidates can now complete the Round 3 registration and withdraw from seats admitted in Round 1 or Round 2 up to January 31, 2026, 5:00 PM. This extension provides additional time for candidates to reassess their options and participate in the ongoing counselling process.
