CENTAC invites fresh applications from BDS aspirants after cutoff reduction
Puducherry: Through a recent notice, CENTAC Puducherry has invited applications for filling up vacant BDS seats after the Supreme Court granted permission to reduce the percentile of 10 percent in BDS and extended the Counseling Date till 18th February 2021.
Fresh Applications for filling up Vacant BDS Seats are invited from 11.02.2021. Candidates who have not applied so far can do the registration and submit application through the CENTAC portal www.centacpuduchery.in till 6 pm, 15.02.2021.
Vacant Seats will be filled up from the Candidates who have participated in the NEET(UG) Courses for the year 2020-21 after lowering the percentile mark by 10 percentile. (NEET SCORE : GEN :720-113;SC/ST/OBC: 112-87; GEN PH: 112-99)
The Supreme Court order on 08.02.2021, had lowered the cut-off marks for BDS admission by 10 percentile in all the categories. The Apex Court had further directed to complete the admission process within February 18 of this year. DCI, following the order by the Apex court, has directed all the authorities of dental colleges in India to "upload the details of students, admitted in BDS Course at their dental institution for the academic session 2020-2021, on DCI Website, using their already allotted login credentials, on or before the last date of admission i.e. 18th February 2021 (12.00 midnight), positively."
