CENTAC issues clarification on Sliding in NEET PG mop-up counselling, Details
Puducherry: The Government of Puducherry Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) has recently, through a written notice, notified that sliding would be allowed for the PG Medical Mop-Up round candidates.
As per the instructions issued by MCC, sliding is internal only. The candidates who have been allotted seats during earlier rounds are only allowed to slide. Sliding is not allowed for candidates who have been allotted seats earlier by MCC or other State Counseling Authorities.
Mop-Up counselling will be done in hybrid mode (online and offline modes). Candidates can choose any one mode. Those willing to participate offline will have to report to the office of CENTAC, PTU campus. Mop-up counselling for Govt. Quota seats and Management Quota seats will happen on 12th April 2022.
Candidates who deposit fee money only can participate. Seats will be allotted only after paying the entire tuition fee. The fees can be paid through DD or RTGS, or NEFT. The candidates can transfer the fee in advance.
Mop-Up counselling will be done in sessions. In the first session, reservations will be allowed for Government Quota seats. After that, unfilled reserved seats will be converted into unreserved seats and offered as per merit.
Candidates who have joined colleges till round 2 counselling are also eligible for Mop-Up Counselling. This is done based on the consideration that the candidates should be able to choose the course of their choice based on merit and without blocking any seat. And those who have not joined are eligible for Mop-Up counselling, but the registration fee paid during round 2 will be forfeited.
CENTAC is a common admission portal to Puducherry colleges and is established by the Government of Puducherry. Under this, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and those who have appeared in such qualifying examinations are eligible for admission. There are various courses under its umbrella.
