CENTAC Notifies On Special Stray Round Registration for MBBS, BAMS seats, Details

Puducherry- Through the notice, the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has informed candidates about the special stray vacancy round registrations for MBBS and BAMS seats

In its notice, the CENTAC informed that based on discharge proceedings carried out by the Health Dept. against the candidates who have reportedly furnished Fake NRI certificates, 1 candidate has been recommended for discharge from Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital, Puducherry (SMVMCH).

Accordingly, Special Stray Round Registration for one vacancy mentioned above is open under Management Quota as the NRI Quota Merit list has already been exhausted during Stray Round. Therefore, using dashboard login credentials, candidates who are listed under the Management Quota Merit List can submit willingness and proceed for payment of the Registration Fee through the payment link available in the Login dashboard which will be enabled till 02 December 2024, 5.00 pm.

Furthermore, CENTAC has also informed through the notice that the last date of admission under AYUSH-based courses has been extended up to 20 December 2024. Hence, the last date for submission of willingness, the link for payment of Registration fee and filling of Course Preferences under Government (GQ) / Management (MQ) in Rajiv Gandhi Government Ayurveda College is extended till 02 December 2024, 5.00 pm.

As per the vacancies, a total of 3 seats are vacant in the Government quota and a total of 7 seats are vacant in the Self-supporting quota. Moreover, it is also been informed that the Ministry of AYUSH , Govt. of India had conveyed its approval, regarding the reduction in the minimum qualifying percentile criteria of NEET (UG) 2024 by fifteen percentile across all categories for admission in the UG-Ayurveda course for the A.Y. 2024-25.

Accordingly, the UG NEET Cut-off score for AYUSH courses as communicated is as detailed below-

As such, Fresh Applications are also invited from National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) qualified candidates for admission to the B.A.M.S. - Government Quota & Management Quota in Rajiv Gandhi Government Ayurveda College, Mahe in the UT of Puducherry for the vacancies after Stray Round. Therefore, interested candidates can apply online on or before 02 December 2024, 5.00 PM. Fresh candidates will be considered for allotment after exhausting the existing merit list. However, Unfilled seats in BAMS Government Quota will be converted to BAMS Self-Supporting Quota seats in this round.

Meanwhile, candidates who have already applied for the Government Quota may now opt for Self Supporting Quota but will be considered for allotment after exhausting the existing merit list.

ELIGIBILITY FOR REGISTERING IN SPECIAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND

1 Candidates who are holding any seat in All India Quota or State Quota after Stray Round.

2 Candidates who have been allotted any seat in Round 3 or in any Stray round in All India Quota or State Quota and NOT joined.

SUBMISSION OF WILLINGNESS, PAYMENT, DECLARATION AND COURSE PREFERENCES

The candidates may participate after submitting willingness, payment of the Registration Fee as applicable and filling of Course preferences before 02 December 2024, 5.00 PM. If the course preferences list is empty, the candidate will not be considered for allotment. Further, the candidate is requested to submit a Declaration in the form attached, failing which the candidate will not be considered for Allotment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES

1 Candidates opting for the above courses need to pay the Registration Fee as mentioned below.

2 Only those candidates who pay the Registration Fee (including SC/ST candidates) will be considered for a special Stray Round.

3 Those candidates who have paid the Registration Fee and were not allotted a seat in Round 3 / Stray Round need to pay the balance of the Registration Fee, as applicable, for Special Stray Round and submit course preferences.

To participate in the Special Stray ROUND counselling, the candidates are required to pay Registration is fixed as below-

The candidates are requested to transfer the registration fee to the CENTAC account through net banking or by generating NEFT / RTGS (preferably RTGS) challan using the payment link in their dashboard login credentials and proceed for payment. Read the help Instructions carefully before proceeding with payment.

REFUND/FORFEITURE OF FEES FOR SPECIAL STRAY ROUND

1 In case, the candidate is not allotted any seat during the Special Round, the Registration fee paid as applicable, will be refunded to the same account of the candidate from which payment had been made.

2 Otherwise, if the seat is allotted and the candidate does not join the course, the Registration Fee amount will be forfeited, and such a candidate will be debarred from taking the NEET exam next year.

3 If a candidate is allotted a seat in Special Stray Round and joins the allotted seat, the Registration Fee will be adjusted against the Tuition Fee, if any.

4 Therefore, it is advised that the candidate makes a thoughtful decision before submitting Course Preferences for Special Stray Round counselling.
