2. Government medical colleges – https://medicaldialogues.in/pdf_upload/ug-2022-op-and-clo-rank-210923.pdf
The lists include Opening Rank, Opening NEET Marks, Closing Rank, Closing NEET Marks, College Name, and College Code. The list is dived into UP NEET UG 2022 First Round, UP NEET UG 2022 Second Round, and UP NEET UG 2022 Mop-Up Round.
The medical admissions across Uttar Pradesh are based on the NEET UG entrance exam. Candidates who qualify for the NEET are only eligible for counselling. These candidates must be citizens of India at 17 as of 31st December of the admitting year. They will have passed 10+2 with a recognized board.
The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) is responsible for conducting the counselling and admission process for medical admission across the state. The counselling process is usually carried out in 4 rounds (round 1, round 2, mop-up, and spot round). Spot round is conducted only if seats remain vacant after the first 3 rounds.
The Medical Education Department is pivotal in developing medical and paramedical personnel to cater to the state's health needs. The department also has a role in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions and premier referral centers from peripheral hospitals. Research is another area of activity for the medical education department. The directorate facilitates comprehensive medical and dental education via various medical, dental, and paramedical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, it also provides standard medical facilities to the patients.
The Department of Medical Education was bifurcated in 1981 from the Department of medical health services. The separate directorate of Medical Education was established in 1994. It has been functioning as a separate directorate for the last 16 years. It controls Medical Colleges and attached teaching hospitals.
