DME Assam issues guidelines round 2 NEET PG counselling candidates, details

Guwahati: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME Assam), has released an admission notice along with the provisional selection list for candidates selected under the 2nd round of NEET PG 2025 counselling for Assam State Quota seats.
The admissions are for vacant Post Graduate (Degree and Diploma) seats in Government Medical Colleges of Assam and Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati, following the completion of Round-2 online counselling for the 2025 academic session.
According to the official notice dated December 20, 2025, the provisional select list of eligible candidates has been published on the DME Assam website. All candidates provisionally allotted seats have been directed to report physically to the office of the Principals of their respective allotted colleges for admission on December 29 and December 30, 2025. Failure to report within the stipulated timeline will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
1. All admissions shall be provisional and will be subject to fulfilment of all the requisite eligibility criteria as per the "Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amendment upto date)".
2. Candidates must bring all relevant documents in original along with Admission and Counselling fees etc. at the time of Admission.
3. Candidates who have been re-allotted seats at the time of 2nd counselling shall have to report to the newly allotted College with the acknowledgement receipts/documentary proof of submitting the certificates/testimonials etc. issued by the previous Principals of the College into which they have got admitted earlier.
4. Candidates shall have to deposit the original documents as specified in the "Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amendment upto date)".
5. After admission all candidates including State Health Services Quota shall execute a duly registered agreement on a non-judicial stamp paper of the value of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred) only as per the "Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amendment upto date)" within 2 (two) weeks from the date of admission.
6. A candidate, who furnishes false information/ declaration, his/her admission is liable to be cancelled at any time and proceeding shall be drawn against such candidates under appropriate law including professional conduct etiquette and ethics of National Medical Commission's Regulation.
7. Candidates who have already taken admission under 50% All India Quota must produce a copy of resignation/ surrender acceptance letter from the respective College/ Institutes for admission.
8. In pursuance of Hon'ble Guwahati High Court case No. WP(C) No. 6852 of 2025 (Dr lkbal Bahar Laskar Vs The State of Assam and Anr.) any selection of Dr Ikbal Bahar Laskar will be subject to the outcome of the writ petition.
