DME Chhattisgarh invites applications for NEET PG stray vacancy round, 104 seats available
Chhattisgarh: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, has issued a notification inviting fresh online applications and choice filling for the Stray Vacancy Round of the NEET PG 2025 admissions under the State Quota.
The notification outlines the schedule for new registration and institute choice selection for vacant postgraduate seats across government and private medical colleges in the state.
The stray vacancy round is being conducted to fill seats that remained vacant after completion of earlier counselling rounds, including the mop-up round. As per the timetable online application (new registration) starts today i.e. 20 February 2026 (12:00 Noon) wnd will end on tomorrow i.e. 21 February 2026 (11:59 PM).
Along with this, the choice filling and locking also starts today and will on 22 February 2026 (1:00 PM). The entire process will be conducted through the official portals of DME Chhattisgarh.
However, if seats remain vacant after this round, the filled choices may be considered for issuing an additional allotment. Meanwhile, the NRI Open Quota seats have been converted to State Open Quota seats, as per applicable rules.
The counselling process is entirely candidate-driven, and any error in registration, fee payment, or choice locking will be the responsibility of the applicant. Candidates are urged to regularly monitor the official website for updates related to allotment and admission timelines.
