DME Tamil Nadu Issues notice For Allotted, Re-allotted Round 2 MBBS, BDS Candidates
Tamil Nadu: The Director of Medical Education (DME Tamil Nadu) issued details for the candidates allotted/ re-allotted in round 2 of MBBS / BDS courses for the academic year 2022 – 2023 session. The tentative seat matrix for the increased seats in self-financing medical colleges for the MBBS course has also been released.
As per the notice issued, the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi, W.P.(C) 5339/2022 and CM APPL 4265/2022 judgment dated 11.11.2022 and National Medical Commission vide letter no. NMC/UGI/2022-23/000074/ 050575 dated 21.11.2022 had given LOP for increasing MBBS seats from 200 to 250 at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital, Perambalur and Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Guindy had given affiliation for the same vide Proc. No. Affln. III (3)/66663/2019 dated 02.12.2022.

DME has further notified that the results of revised round 2 for Government (92.5% and 7.5%) quota and Management quota will be published on the official website at 10 am on 08-12-2022, and the last date of joining will be on or before 3:00 pm on 09-12-2022.

Eligibility –
1. Indian nationals can apply for Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS admission.
2. Non-residents of India (NRI) or Persons of Indian origin (PIO) are eligible for management/NRI quota seats.
3. Candidates 17 years or above are eligible as of 31st December 2022.
4. Students must pass class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks for the general category for Tamil Nadu MBBS 2022 admission. Students from SC/ST/OBC and PH categories need 40% and 45% marks in the class 12 examination.
5. Students must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects in class 12.
