Tripura: The Director of Medical Education (DME Tripura) has invited applications from MBBS doctors who have qualified in the NEET PG 2023 but not admitted to any PG course to participate in the offline counselling for allotment for the 6(six) months Ultra Sonography Training namely "The fundamentals of Abdominal-Pelvic Ultra Sonography; level 1" for MBBS Doctors at Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital, Agartala, Tripura.

Candidates must register their names physically along with the application in the prescribed format with relevant documents, with draft registration fees at the office of the Director of Medical Education (DME), Bidurkarta Chowrnohani, Agartala, Tripura, on or before 08-11-2023, 5 pm.

Registration fee is Rs.1000 only for all categories to be paid by bank draft for any nationalized bank, payable at Agartala, in favour of the Director of Medical Education, which is to be submitted along with the Application in the prescribed format.

Eligibility Criteria -

1. Permanent resident of Tripura who has obtained an MBBS degree from any university of India duly recognized by NMC and got registered with NMC/MCl/TSMC (as per NMC/MCI rules/TSMC).

2. Candidates who are pursuing any other course are not eligible for admission to this course of USG training. However, candidates having completed the other course/resigning from the other course before the date of admission to this course of USG training will be eligible to register for the counselling/admission to this course of USG.

Number of seats –

A total of 5 seats are vacant, out of which 4 numbers are for Open category candidates (UR-2, ST-2) and 1 number of seats for In-Service sponsored candidates (ST-1).

Details issued –

The syllabus and course guidelines will be as per PC and PNDT Act 2014

Evaluation certificate: On completing six months of training, the candidates must appear for a competence-based evaluation (final examination, both theory and practical). On successful completion of the evaluation, a certificate to the effect will be issued by the Director of Medical Education. Such certificates will be applicable for obtaining new registration/renewal under the PC and PNDT Act 2014.

Reservation of seats as per Tripura State Reservation Act 1991.

The period of training is for 6 months (the period of training shall be 300 clock hours).

Candidates are requested to see the notification as per the Gazette of India by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, dated 9th January 2014, regarding the short title and commencement. Nomenclature of 6 months training in USG etc.

Diversion from one category to another, i.e. Open to In-Service or vice versa, is not permissible. Once applied for the particular category, on application will be treated as final.

Eligible candidates, either unemployed or In-Service (permanent/ad-hoc) but have not completed six years of specified rural service, will be treated as open candidates (non-sponsored). He or she is not eligible for the counselling of a seat reserved for the In-Service category seat. Non-sponsored In-Service candidates shall have to bring NOC from competent authority/DHS. Candidates under TMES shall have to collect the NOC from DME.

In-Service candidate of THS for the seat earmarked for In-Service sponsored candidates is one who, at the time of application, has completed 6(six) years of rural service and submitted the sponsorship certificate from competent authority/DHS.

Candidates shall have to submit all relevant documents in support of his/her statement submitting along with the "Application form" duly filled in.

Allotment/selection of seats will be done by the counselling committee and will be final.

A bond of a minimum 3 Years of service under the Government of Tripura after completion of the said training is applicable for In-Service candidates, For open candidates, the same shall be applicable provided that he/she gets employed under the State Government within one year after completion of the said training.

The candidate will become free from his/her executed bond if he/she gets an opportunity to MCI recognized higher education for the time duration of that course only, but he/she will have to give the service as per bond immediately after completion of that higher course in addition to the bond already executed before admission to that higher course.

The bond will apply to him/her if he/she discontinues his/her applied higher course.

The service bond will be a sum of the earlier bond and subsequent bond, if any, in terms of both service period and penalty (wherever applicable).

In the event of failure to serve under the Government of Tripura for the bond period, he/she will have to pay an amount of Rs.5 Lakhs (Rupees five lakhs) only as a compensation/penalty and handover the same amount to the Government of Tripura.

Only the registered candidates applying with requisite fees and mandatory opted for open or In-Service category will be eligible for the counselling to get selection to the said training.

There will be no remuneration/Stipend / TA/ DA for the training course.

Accommodation may be provided from the concerned authority for the training course subject to the availability of accommodation, and the accommodation given to the candidates will be as per rules and norms.

Age bar: The age of a candidate shall have to be below 45 years as of 01-01-2024,

Denominator exam NEET PG 2023 (the immediately prior NEET PG exam to counselling)

Candidates must visit the DIME website regularly for any further notice/notification/updates.

Candidates are instructed to bring all original relevant documents or any leftover documents (during offline registration) at the time of counselling for considering selection for admission to the course. Submission of any documents, papers or documentation of original will not be allowed after completion of the counselling of a particular candidate.

Documents to be brought during counselling in original (1) Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate number (2) MBBS Pass marksheets (3) Registration Certificate of NMC/TSIV1C (4) Internship Completion Certificate (5) WET PG 2023 Admit card and Score Card (6) Authentic Age proof certificate (7) No objection certificate (NOC) from Appointing Authority wherever applicable (8) Sponsorship Certificate from competent authority wherever applicable. (9) Recent passport size photos 4(four) copies.

Mode of selection -

As per merit of NEET 2023 of different caste categories.

Selection procedure –

Candidate qualified in NEET PG 2023 only is eligible to apply. Selection will be based on rank in the merit list of NEET PG 2023 in the offline counselling of the registered candidates only.

Fee structure –

The course fee is Rs. 10000 only for the open category. The In-Service sponsored category is exempted from paying the course fee.
