DME Tripura Invites Applications for NEET PG Counselling 2024, check all admission details here
Tripura: The Director of Medical Education (DME Tripura) has invited applications from NEET PG 2024 qualified candidates for PG medical admissions in the state.
It is informed to All the eligible candidates who intend to participate in Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Online Counselling for the academic session 2024-25 are invited to participate in Tripura State NEET PG 2024 online Counseling that the information bulletin details regarding Scat matrix, Eligibility, Procedure of Counselling, Guidelines, requisite fees etc. in connection with Tripura State NEET PG 2024 counselling is mentioned below.
All the concerned candidates are advised to take note of the following details:-
I. Admission to the State Quota/domicile Seats and Seats in the Private Medical College in different Post Graduate Medical Courses shall be made on the basis of inter se merit of NEET PG (MD/MS) POST MBBS DIPLOMA 2024 through Single point entry of different categories of UR/ST/SC/PwD (Persons with benchmark disability), WESM (Ward of ex-serviceman) & EWS (Economically Weaker Section) successful candidates as per cut off marks determined by NBE/MCl/NMC/MoHFW, New Delhi with applicable incentive for eligible in-service candidates as defined by Health and Family welfare Department, Government of Tripura. The Counselling authority of the above seats shall be the Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling Committee.
2. General information for Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling
a) Candidates who will register through online counselling portal will be eligible for participating in the Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling.
b) There will be 4 (four) rounds of counselling: Round -I, Round- 2, Round-3 and Stray Vacancy Round. All rounds of the said counselling will be performed online.
c) The candidate must possess MBBS from National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi recognised Institution or having the required eligibility as prescribed by NMC.
d) The candidate shall be selected as per Merit and choice filled by the candidates for admission to different Post Graduate Medical Courses in the Medical Colleges of the State of Tripura or outside the State.
e) Candidates are deemed to have read, agreed and accept the Information Bulletin for NEET PG 2024, Eligibility Criteria, Terms and Conditions, Steps of Counselling, Applicable registration fees and mandatory security deposit etc. before registering their candidature in the counselling.
f) The candidate must have completed the compulsory Rotatory Internship for 1(one) year on or before 15/08/2024. He should possess registration from State Medical Council or NMC. If a candidate is not having Registration from Tripura State Medical Council (TSMC), he/she must produce a copy of the said registration within 3(three) months of his/her admission in the concerned Institution and submit a copy of Registration to the admission section of Medical College of the State as well as to the office of the Director of Medical Education, Govt. of Tripura.
Candidate who is pursuing any course or internship in any Institutions/Universities is not eligible for admission if she/he did not complete the internship within 15/08/2024. Such candidates shall have to submit the Internship completion certificate from the Head of the concerned Institution.
Candidate pursuing any course presently must submit acceptance of resignation and release certificate from the Head of the Concerned Institution before getting admission to the PG Courses for the academic session 2024-25 (MD/MS and Post MBBS Diploma) if gets selected.
g) The candidate must register his/her name in Tripura State NEET PG Counselling 2024 with requisite fees, security deposits, information and documents which ever and wherever applicable. There will be fresh Registration in all rounds of Counselling.
h) The candidates once registered in any Round, he/she need not have to deposit registration fees for subsequent rounds. The candidates once deposited security money in any Round, he/she need not have to deposit security money for subsequent round unless the situation of forfeiture of security deposit arises.
i) The eligibility for participation in every round (Round-1, Round-2, Round-3 and Stray Vacancy Round) will be in accordance to rule of that Round.
j) A candidate must get Qualifying marks in NEET PG 2024 as declared by NBE/MoHFW/NMC to participate in the counselling.

k) Reservation of seats: The reservation of seats in Medical Colleges/Institutions for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in State of Tripura. An all-India merit list as well as state wise merit of the eligible candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test and candidates shall be admitted to Postgraduate Courses from the said merit lists only.
For State Quota/domicile seats, will be distributed in the counselling as per merit and seat matrix as per existing Tripura State Reservation Rules. For seats for All India Candidates other than Tripura domicile, the seat will be distributed as per Central Reservation Rules. SC, ST, EWS, WESM (Certificate approved by Director of Sainik Welfare, Agartala, Tripura) and PwD
reservation will be followed as per existing guidelines of NMC/MCC/BOG/Government of Tripura/Government of India. Reservation of seats for Post graduate degree (MD/MS) Course and Diploma Course will be distributed as per 100 point Roster and existing Rules/Guidelines/Notifications/Order/Memo of the Government of Tripura.
Horizontal reservation of seats for eligible PwD Candidates with bench mark disabilities as per guidelines shall also be provided in the seat matrix after registration for the 1st Round of Counselling (if any such candidate is registered).
Reservation of seats for eligible WESM (Ward of Ex-Service man) shall also be provided in the seat matrix after registration for the 1st Round Counselling gets completed (if any such candidate is registered).
l) The choice or preference regarding subject, Course, Institution, once exercised shall be final for a particular round and cannot be subsequently changed in that particular round of counselling. Therefore, applicant shall have to be very careful during online choice filling of seats. The candidate will have to fill his/her choices in counselling portal, which he/she will have to lock within a schedule period, otherwise there will be auto locking of the filled choices of the candidate at the end of scheduled date and time of choice filling.
m) In online mode the allotment will be generated (as per preference of subject and Institution) as per merit and seat matrix. The allotment of seats, once made will be final. Change of course/discipline/ Institution is not permitted thereafter. Request for the same shall not be entertained by the State Counselling Committee.
n) A candidate will have to appear in person in due date and time and venue at allotted admitting institutions for physical verification of their original documents/relevant certificates etc. if gets allotted and intend to get admitted against the seat in that round. Absence of a candidate on the day of physical verification and/or failure to submit original relevant documents/certificates during the physical verification, he/she will be marked as absent and her/his candidature/nomination may stand as cancelled for that round of counselling. Similarly, the candidates after allotment of a seat, failed to join the college on that seat on/before the last date of joining as scheduled, he/she shall have no further claim for the seat.
o) The Selection/Nomination/Admission against any PG seats in respect to a candidate shall be cancelled at any point of time if a candidate is found to have submitted any false/fabricated/erased/incomplete/indistinct/untraced documents or any false information in obtaining eligibility for NEET PG 2024 examination/registration for
counselling/Selection/Nomination/Admission to be allotted courses to the allotted Institutions and in such cases the candidate will not be permissible and shall be debarred to participate further in the counselling for the entire academic session.
p) The selection of candidates against a State Quota seat will be as per seat matrix, State Eligibility, Merit, State reservation rules and fulfilment of Eligibility Criteria as prescribed in the Information Bulletin of NEET PG 2024 exam. For State Counselling/Selection/Nomination/Admission of a candidate for State Quota seats/non govt. seats, the jurisdiction of court cases/disputes shall be at Agartala, Tripura, India only.
q) Any amendment/modification in the PGME regulations as adopted by NMCIMCC/Mol-IFW (GoI) from time to time shall be applicable on the State PG counselling for the corresponding year.
r) Category of a candidate (ST/SC/EWSNVESM/PwD) registered during NEET PG examination 2024 shall be treated as final and cannot be modified/corrected subsequently during State Counselling. Further, no request in this regard shall be entertained.
s) Application for surrender of seat should be physically submitted by the candidate in the admitting Institution and the Surrender certificate shall have to be submitted to the Directorate of Medical Education at Bidurkarta Chowmohani, Agartala physically within the scheduled date and time.
t) A Candidate can submit his/her online application form only once. Multiple registration/submission of application from a candidate applying as different category and profile of seats shall summarily be rejected.
u) Candidate should ensure that all the Information entered during the Online filling of Application Candidates producing false or fabricated information shall not be considered and candidates may be further debarred from appearing in any future counselling of Tripura State NEET PG Counselling and further penal action may be taken.
v) In the event of rejection of application form, no correspondence/request for re consideration will be entertained.
w) Candidates should go through this Information Bulletin as well as NEET PG 2024 examination Information Bulletin published by NBE/MCC/NMC/MoHFW/State Guidelines for Eligibility Criteria before registration in the Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling.
x) Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling Committee disclaims any liability that may arise due to incorrect information provided by the candidate during online application, form submission of NEET PG 2024 examination and or during online registration and in uploading the relevant documents by a candidate in Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling.
y) Candidates are instructed to visit the DME website regularly and go through every Annexure and Notices in-connection with the Information Bulletin of Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling along with all Educational Notification, Merit list, Instructions, any corrigendum or any Information in connection with Tripura NEET PG 2024 counselling which is publishand would be published from time to time in the DME website All the candidates should also visit respective website of Medical Colleges/Institutions for other details regarding all fees structure accommodation etc;
z) Sponsored Candidates and In-Service Non sponsored Candidates of Tripura are reminded to be aware of latest guidelines, norms, rules of sponsorship, study leave and Rules of leave as per leave Rules of Govt. of Tripura.
The guidelines for the counselling are in accordance with the latest guidelines/recommendations of NBEMS/MCC/NIMC/MoHFW/State guidelines adopted by the state and will be followed accordingly.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for the State quota/Government seats (OPEN)
(a) The candidate must be a Citizen of India, and
(b) The candidate must be a domicile of the State of Tripura, and
(c) The candidate must obtain the MBBS Degree from any Medical College Recognized by
MCl/ NMC with MBBS Registration Certificate of Tripura State Medical Council or any other State/Central Medical Council.
Eligibility Criteria for the State quota/Government seats (IN-SERVICE CANDIDATES)
(i) A candidate must be a domicile of Tripura, and
(ii) A candidate must pass MBBS Degree from Medical Colleges of Tripura or outside the State of Tripura and
(iii) The candidate must possess No Objection Certificate from the appointing authority for appearing Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling.
(iv) The Candidate must possess Service Certificate denoting eligibility from the appointing authority which would determine the ultimate merit/rank of the candidate with applicable weight age in the marks as incentives.
(v) In determining the merit of candidates who are in-service of Government/TTADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council), weightage in the marks may be given by the Government/Competent Authority as an incentive up to 10% of the marks obtained for each year of service in remote and /or difficult areas and/or Rural areas up to maximum of 30% of the marks obtained in National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET PG). Further it may be noted that the final score of eligible in-service candidates will be prepared by NBE (National Board of Examination) on the basis of applicable incentives provided by Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tripura. The area and period of Rural, Remote or difficult areas service in-respect of a candidate shall be as per Directorate of Health Service/TTADC Notifications/Order/Memo.
(vi) Sponsorship criteria, study leave or other admissible leave, service bond and discontinue bond etc will be applicable as per State Government Rules/guidelines in respective regard.
(vi) Post graduate Diploma seats at IGM Hospital are available for in-service Medical Officers only through Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling, who have served for at least three years in remote and /or difficult areas and/or Rural areas. But while preparing merit list for such PG Diploma Courses no incentive marks will be awarded.
Eligibility for the Non-Government Quota (TRIPURA MEDICAL COLLEGE) seats.
Must qualify NEET PG-2024 and meet one of the following-
a. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Tripura.
OR
b. Ex-Students, passed MBBS from Agartala Government Medical College or Tripura Medical College irrespective of Tripura domicile.
Tripura State Merit List: Tripura State Merit List of Registered eligible NEET PG 2024 candidates shall be prepared from the eligible NEET PG 2024 candidate who have registered their name for Tripura State NEET PG Counselling 2024 with requisite fees and relevant documents. The said Merit List will be prepared by MC, Agartala, Tripura after extracting data from MCC database provided by Assistant Director General (ME), Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi and National Board of Examination (NBE).
There shall be a common merit list including in-service candidates (after adding applicable incentives) indicating the merit position and stating each category/subcategory (ST, SC, EWS, WESM, PwD) which will be published in due course.
Registration fees and mandatory security deposits:
a) Registration fees for Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling is Rs. 8,000/- per candidate for General/EWS category and Rs. 7,000/- for SC/ST/PwD category. No registration will be allowed beyond schedule period of registration. The candidates once registered in any Round, he/she need not have to deposit registration fees for subsequent rounds.
b) Mandatory security deposits require to participate in Round-2 and further rounds of counselling. .
i. Candidates willing to take part for State quota/Government seats shall have to deposit Rs. 25,000 /- for General Candidate and Rs. 12,500/-. for SC/ST candidate,
ii. Candidates willing to take part for only Non-Government Quota seats at TMC shall have to deposit Rs. 2Lakh irrespective of category.
iii. Candidates willing to take part in both State quota/Government seats and Non-Government
Quota seats at TMC will have to deposit an amount of Rs. 2 Lac only irrespective of category. Security deposit will be refunded to Candidates within 3 (three) months of completion of the Counselling except those candidates as described for forfeiture where the security deposit will stand forfeited.

Procedure of online counselling: The flow chart of the Counselling is furnished along with Information Bulletin. Further intimation will be furnished in the DME website in due course at the time of Round-2, Round-3 and Stray Vacancy Round. Successful Physical verification of documents which will be carried out in the allotted admitting Institution for a selected candidate is mandatory for that candidate for getting admitted to his/her allotted seat.
ROUND-1
a) Main counselling Registration which will include payment of Non-refundable Registration fee.
b) Exercising of Choice filling and locking of choices.
c) Publication of Tripura State Merit List.
d) Process of Seat Allotment Round-1 .
e) Publication of result of Round-lon DME, Tripura website
f) Downloading of allotment letter from counselling portal by the candidate and submit to the Directorate of Medical Education, Bidurkarta Chowmuhani, Agartal a, Tripura.
g) Collection of Nomination letter from the office of DME, Tripura.
h) Physical Reporting at the allotted Medical college/ Institute with original documents against Round -1.
i) Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round one (1) can opt for free exit and can directly participate in round two.
j) Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round one (1) can opt for willingness to upgrade from round 1 to round 2 only after physical reporting at college/institute.
k) If a registered candidate is not allotted a seat in round one (1), he can participate in round 2 directly without fresh registration fee.
l) Candidates willing to upgrade from Round I to Round 2 have to report at the allotted institute/college with original documents of round 1 and complete the admission formalities. During the completion of admission formalities, if the candidate wishes to upgrade then he/she has to give willingness for upgradation in the college.
ROUND-2
a) All candidates who intend to participate in Round-2 has to deposit mandatory security money.
b) The candidates who have already registered in Round-1 need not have to pay fresh registration fee but has to deposit mandatory security money.
c) The candidates who have not registered in Round-1 can register for Round-2 with payment of registration fee and mandatory security deposit.
d) To participate in Round-2, all the candidates MUST apply online through the counselling portal.
e) Candidates who have Resigned / Not reported in Round-1 need not pay registration fee again.
f) Publication of Tripura State Merit List.
g) Fresh Choice filling and locking of choices for Round-2,
h) Process of Seat Allotment Round-2.
i) Publication of result of Round-2 on DME, Tripura website
j) Downloading of allotment letter from counselling portal by the candidate and submit to the Directorate of Medical Education, Bidurkarta Chowmuhani, Agartala, Tripura.
k) Collection of Nomination letter from the office of DME, Tripura.
I) Physical Reporting at the allotted Medical College/ Institute with original documents against Round-2.
m) If upgraded in Round 2 from Round-1 admitted seat, the candidate must take surrender letter from Round 1 seat and join Round 2 seat.
n) If a candidate freshly registered in round 2, is not allotted a seat, he/she can participate in round 3 directly without payment of fresh registration fee.
o) Candidates getting upgraded in Round 2 SHALL NOT HAVE ANY CLAIM on Round 1 seat.
p) Candidates who have been freshly allotted a seat in round 2 can opt for willingness to upgrade from round 2 to round 3, for which first they will have to admit in Round 2 allotted college/institute and thereafter opt for willingness.
q) If Seat allotted in Round-2 but not reported/ not joined then he/she can proceed for further rounds of counselling by forfeiture of security deposit.
ROUND-3
a) Those candidates who are applying for the first time in Tripura State NEST PG 2024 Counselling has to register themselves with payment of with payment of registration fee and deposit of mandatory security money for Round-3.
b) Those candidates who have NOT submitted mandatory security money in earlier round has to deposit mandatory security money.
c) Those candidates who have already registered in either Round-1 or Round-2 also has to apply online through counselling portal for participation in Round-3.
d) Those candidates who have resigned from Round 2 seat, need to pay mandatory security money to participate in Round-3.
e) Those candidates who have registered in Round-2 and exited with Forfeiture of fees without joining need to pay mandatory security money to participate in Round-3.
f) Those who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round-I & Round-2 need to apply online through counselling portal for participation in Round-3.
g) Publication of Tripura State Merit List.
h) Exercising of Fresh Choice filling and locking of choices.
i) Process of Seat Allotment Round-3.
j) Publication of result of Round-3 on DME, Tripura website
k) Downloading of allotment letter from counselling portal by the candidate and submit to the Directorate of Medical Education, Bidurkarta Chowrnuhani, Agartala, Tripura. 1) Collection of Nomination letter from the office of DME, Tripura
m) Physical Reporting at the allotted Medical college/ Institute with original documents against Round-3.
n) If upgraded, the candidate must relieve from previous admitted seat and join Round-3 seat. Once joined, he cannot upgrade or resign from Round-3 seat.
o) If any candidate does not join Round 3 seat, he may exit with forfeiture of security deposit and elimination (cannot participate in further rounds of counselling conducted by Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling).
p) If a candidate freshly registers in round 3 and is not allotted any seat, he/she is eligible to participate in further rounds.
q) Candidates getting upgraded in Round 3 shall Not have any claim on earlier round allotted seat.
r) Once admitted in the allotted seat in the Round-3, his/her Counselling for the year finishes at that point.
STRAY VACANCY ROUND
a) Those candidates who are applying for the first time in Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling has to register themselves with payment of with payment of registration fee and deposit of mandatory security money for Stray Vacancy Round.
b) Those candidates who have NOT submitted mandatory security money in earlier rounds has to deposit mandatory security money.
c) Fresh choice filling for Stray Vacancy Round. The choices filled during Round-3 will not be considered for allotment in Stray Vacancy Round.
d) Candidates who are not holding any seat or did not participate in Round-1, Round-2, and Round-3 (AIQ, State, Deemed) can participate in Stray Vacancy Round.
e) In case any candidate is found holding any seat (AIQ, State, Deemed) of any Round, his/her candidature for stray vacancy round will automatically be cancelled.
0 Candidates who were allotted seats in Round 3 and did not join, cannot participate in Stray Vacancy Round.
g) If a candidate is allotted a seat in Stray round, he/she has to report & join the allotted seat at college/institute else he/she shall be debarred from NEET PG examination for subsequent 1(one) year along with forfeiture of security deposit.
The candidates appearing for Counselling will have to upload/submit the following documents as per registration form:
(i) Admit Card of NEET PG.
(ii) All India NEET PG Rank/Score Card.
(iii) University MBBS Degree Certificate.
(iv) Mark Sheets of MBBS rd & Final MBBS).
(v) Internship completion certificate (Cut-off date 15-08-2024).
(vi) Medical Registration Certificate issued by MCl/State Medical Council.
(vii) School Leaving Certificate/Class X Mark sheet/Class X Admit card denoting date of birth as proof of age.
(viii) ST/SC/WESM/PwD/EWS Certificate (Financial year 2023-24). Certificate of Disability for PwD candidates shall have to be in prescribed format on online uploading signed by Designated Authority as per prescribed latest norms and as per MCI Gazette Notification No.MCI-18(1)/2018-Med./187262, dated 5th Feb, 2019/I4th May, 2019.
Economically weaker section (EWS) Certificate shall have to be in prescribed format and signed by designated issuing authority as belonging to EWS for an eligible EWS candidate as per Office Memorandum No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res), Ministry of Personal, Public Grievances & Pensions, GoI, Dated, 31/10/2019.
(ix) PRTC (Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate) in case of State domicile candidates only.
(x) Photo.
(xi) Signature of the Candidate.
(xii) Signature of the Parent/Guardian.
(xiii) Mobile phone number of the candidate.
(xiv) E-mail ID of the Candidate.
(xv) For in-service candidates (in addition to above documents).
(a) No objection certificate from appointing authority for NEET PG 2024 exam
(b) Service Certificate stating service in rural/difficult/Remote areas with exact duration.
(c) Sponsorship Certificate - wherever applicable (if got sponsored for any seat inside/outside the State Counselling).
(d) TPSC confirmation certificate (wherever applicable)
Candidates without uploading the above documents/information shall not be considered for the Counselling and/or shall not be considered for any weight —age in the marks (for in-service candidates).
