DMER Maharashtra Invites Applications for MPH Nutrition admissions, Know All Details Here

DME Maharashtra Invites Application for MPH (Nutrition) 2024-25.

Maharashtra- The Director of Medical Education (DME) of Maharashtra is conducting the admission process for the Master of Public Health (Nutrition) MPH (N) course for the academic year 2024-25 in 9 government medical colleges of Maharashtra. In this regard, DME Maharashtra has released the final schedule and the provisional schedule for the Institutional Level Round. The DMER released the information brochure giving details of eligibility, seat distribution and other details of the admission process of the said course.

As per the schedule, the facility to fill out the online application form will be available on DME Maharashtra from 20th January 2025. For the institutional level, the eligible interested candidate has to apply in person to the concerned college on plain paper from 10th February 2025. Meanwhile, the institutional Level round for Government Medical Colleges is scheduled from 01 to 15 February 2025.

The cost of the online application form of MPH(N) 2024 is Rs. 1500/-. This application fee is not refundable. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ascertain payment of fees within the prescribed period, failing which the online application will be rejected. Therefore, the selected candidate should report to the allotted college and take admission by paying the requisite fee and depositing original documents as per the schedule.

PROCEDURE OF INSTITUTIONAL ROUND

1 Institutional Round will be conducted by Government Medical Colleges for seats remaining vacant after the second round.

2 For the Institutional round eligible and interested candidates should approach the Dean of the respective college within the prescribed time and submit the application in person.

3 At the time of admission during the Institutional Round, the College Authority will form the Committee for document verification which will verify the eligibility of each candidate. The selected candidate should submit all his/her Original Documents along with requisite fees in the form of DD during the prescribed time limit.

4 It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to submit all his original documents and requisite fees at the time of admission.

Meanwhile, as per the information brochure, below are the Eligibility, documents and Fee structure details of the Master of Public Health (Nutrition) MPH (N) courses 2024-25.

DOCUMENTS

Below are the documents to Be Submitted At the Time of Admission-

1 Original and Attested copy of Nationality Certificate.

2 Original and Attested copies of the Caste Certificate & Caste Validity Certificate.

3 Original and Attested copies of Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for DT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC and SEBC) issued by the appropriate authority as specified in the Government Resolutions from time to time and should be valid up to 31/03/2025 or later.

4 Medical Fitness Certificate.

5 Person with Disability (PWD) Certificate in case physically handicapped from Medical Board Sir J.J Hospital, and Grant Medical College, Byculla, Mumbai.

6 Original and Attested copies of S.S.C & H.S.C. Passing certificate.

7 Original and Attested copy of Graduation Passing or Degree Certificate.

8 Original and Attested copy of College leaving or Transfer Certificate.

9 Original and Attested copy Internship Certificate.

10 Original and Attested copies of the Attempt Certificate.

11 Original and Attested copies of the Registration Certificate or Registration Receipt.

12 EWS eligibility Certificate in prescribed format issued by the appropriate authority, for the academic year 2024-25.

13 Orphan Certificates from the appropriate authority.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Following health science graduates are eligible-

1 MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BPTH/B.Sc (PMT) B.Sc & P.B .B.Sc Nursing.

2 The Candidates must have completed the requisite internship in the respective degree course at the time of filling out the application form.

3 Candidate must have passed graduation from the institute situated in the State of Maharashtra.

4 The candidates who are domiciled in Maharashtra and who have obtained admission under 15% quota for appropriate all-India entrance examination for courses in health sciences in the college/institution situated outside Maharashtra State and who have obtained the degree from a University situated outside the State of Maharashtra will also be eligible for admission to MPH(N) course. Such candidates should submit a certificate from the Dean/Principal of the respective college stating that the candidate was admitted under the 15% quota for all India entrance tests for courses in health sciences, and the Candidate's Domicile certificate of Maharashtra by virtue of residence.

6 The candidate belonging to the Backward Class must have claimed so in his original application form, failing which such a claim will not be entertained subsequently. The candidate belonging to the Backward Class Category should produce the original Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (wherever applicable) at the time of the counselling process. A Candidate belonging to the ‘Creamy Layer’ amongst the categories (VJ) DT -A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SBC and SEBC must note that the provision of the reservation does not apply to him/her. A candidate claiming the benefit of reservation under these categories will be required to produce a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate Valid up to 31/03/2025. The valid certificate in the prescribed Performa stating the date of validity should be submitted at the time of admission. Category reservations based on caste can be availed by candidates domiciled in Maharashtra only.

FEE STRUCTURE

The fee of Rs. 40,000/- for the course should be paid at the respective college by Demand Draft from any Nationalised / Scheduled commercial Bank in favour of the Dean of the College, as applicable. The students have to pay examination fees, one-time eligibility fees and any other fees as and when made applicable. Meanwhile, the eligibility and examination fees would be charged extra as per MUHS Norms.

It is to be noted that the students will have to pay a total amount of fee for their respective academic years before the commencement of the respective academic year.
