New Delhi- Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has notified about the admission process in UG medical course (MBBS/BDS/BSc Nursing) in ESIC Medical/Dental/nursing and some government medical colleges under seats allocated for ‘wards of insured persons’ for the academic session 2024-25.

The Student link for applying online for the issue 'Ward of IP Certificate' would tentatively be activated on 03rd May 2024 and deactivated (closed) on 12 May 2024 at 23:59 hrs). The last date for the issue of the ‘Ward of IP Certificate’ is 15/05/2024. However, any change in the date will be published on the ESIC official website, the official notice on this stated.

HOW TO APPLY

ISSUE OF WARD OF IP CERTIFICATE

All candidates must have a valid ‘Ward of IP certificate’ for 2024 -25 from ESI Corporation (ESIC). The procedure for obtaining the same is as under-

1 Candidates have to apply online, using the internet, preferably on a laptop/desktop, and click on the ‘link’ to be provided on the ESIC official website wherein a page would be displayed to apply for the ‘Ward of IP Certificate’.

2 For login, OTP would be sent to the mobile number of the insured person as per the ESIC database.

3 After successful login, the applicant is required to complete the form.

4 Candidate must upload all the required documents in the online application as under-

i Passport size photograph of the Ward of IP (candidate) {5 to 50KB}.

ii Passport size photograph of IP (Insured Person) {5 to 50KB}.

iii Birth Certificate/Matriculation Certificate for proof of Date of Birth {10 to 200KB}.

iv Admit card of NEET (UG)-2024 {10 to 200KB}.

v Affidavit by female candidate as per Annexure-4 {10 to 200KB}.

vi. Affidavit by IP (In case of female candidate) {10 to 200KB}.

5 A system-generated ‘Ward of IP Certificate’ will be available to download after approval of the Competent Authority.

6 Candidate can track the status [(i) Issued; or (ii) Rejected] of the certificate on the ESIC website using the username and password. In the event of an issue, the certificate in PDF format would be visible to the candidate and a printout can be taken after downloading the certificate. In the event of rejection, the reason would be displayed.

However, ‘Ward of Insured Person’ will be children / child of an Insured person who are / is eligible for benefit under the ESI Act as on the last date of submission of application form for NEET UG for the relevant year. It is to be noted that, the critical date for determining age of the Ward of the IP, for the benefit of admission to MBBS / BDS course under Insured Person Quota, would be last date of submission of application form for NEET- UG for the relevant year.

In addition, the insured persons will avail the benefit of MBBS / BDS seats for his / her wards, as on the last day of the contribution period immediately preceding the date of notification for NEET-UG for the relevant year. It is to be noted that, the critical date for eligibility under ‘Seats allocated for 'wards of (IPs)’ for 2024-25 would be 30.09.2023, i.e. only a person who is ‘Insured Person’ would be eligible for availing benefit under the ‘Seats allocated for wards of (IPs)’ for his / her child / children.

REGISTRATION ON THE DGHS WEBSITE FOR PARTICIPATING IN COUNSELING

Candidates may log in to the DGHS official website and register themselves for the MBBS / BDS / BSc Nursing seats under ‘Seats allocated for ‘wards of insured persons (IPs)’ in ESIC Medical / Dental / Nursing Colleges as per instructions given on the website.

Therefore, candidates are requested to visit the DGHS official website regularly for further details.

ii Copy of – Birth Certificate / Matriculation Certificate for proof of Date of Birth.

iii Copy of Aadhar card, if available.

iv Senior Secondary School Certificate (+2). Provisional, if final has not been issued.

v National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – 2024 [NEET (UG) - 2024] Admit Card.

vi NEET - 2024 Scorecard indicating All India Rank.

vii ‘Ward of Insured Person Certificate – AY 2024- 2025’ issued by ESIC.

viii SC / ST / OBC / PH Certificate as applicable, the PH certificate would be subject to verification by the Competent ESIC Board, if required.

ix EWS Certificate by Competent Authority.

x For FEMALE CANDIDATES ONLY

Available seats for ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ in various States will be pooled on ‘All India Basis’ and allotted, amongst the wards of Insured persons (IPs).

PROCESS OF SEAT FILLING

The ‘guiding principles’ for filling up ‘Seats allocated for ‘wards of insured persons (IPs)’ will be as under-

1 Reservation policy of the Central Government for SC / ST / OBC / PH / EWS etc. will be followed for allotment of seats.

2 Candidates seeking admission under ‘Seats allocated for ‘wards of insured persons (IPs)’ will have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria-

i Minimum eligibility criteria for admission will be as per MCC/ NTA/NEET/NMC/DCI/INC regulations.

ii Applicant must have a valid ‘Ward of Insured Person Certificate’, issued by ESIC.

Meanwhile, the critical cut-off date for determining-

1 Eligibility of Insured person for availing benefit under the ‘Seats allocated for wards of (IPs)’ for his / her child / children would be 30th September 2023, i.e. only a person who is ‘Insured Person’ would be eligible for availing benefit under the ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ for his / her child / children.

2 The age of dependent male ‘Ward of IP’ for eligibility under the ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ should not be more than 21 years as on the last date of submission of application form for NEET- UG 2024 i.e. 10.04.2024.

However, the said date would not apply to dependent unmarried female ‘Ward of IP’.
