GGSIPU extends application deadline for newly introduced paramedical, medical programmes

GGSIPU Extends Registration Deadline for Newly Launched Healthcare Programmes

New Delhi: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has extended the last date for submission of online application forms for six newly introduced para-medical and medical programmes for the academic session 2026-27.

Candidates interested in courses such as Clinical Psychology, Emergency Medical and Trauma Technology, Applied Epidemiology, Rehabilitation Psychology, and Optometry can now complete their online registration process until June 7, 2026, providing aspiring students with additional time to apply for these newly launched programmes.

Details of these courses are given below :-

1. Bachelor in Clinical Psychology (B. Clin. Psy) (Code 163)

2. Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical & Trauma Technology (B.Sc. EMTT) (Code 164)

3. Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS)/Master in Applied Epidemiology (Code 165)

4. Master in Clinical Psychology (M. Clin. Psy) (Code 166)

5. Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology (PGDRP) (Code 167)

6. Bachelor of Optometry (Code 169)

"It is to inform all the stakeholders that the last date for filling/submission of Online Registration Form for the above courses, for the Academic Session 2026-27 has been extended upto 07.06.2026 (11:59 PM)," the notice stated.

For further more details/updated information, candidates are requested to visit the University website.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported the University decided to introduce certain new Para-Medical and Medical Programmes from the Academic Session 2026-27. Details are as below:

3Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS)/ Master in Applied Epidemiology165MD (Public Health/Preventive and Social Medicine/Community Medicine) OR MD/ MS (Clinical or Para-Clinical); OR MBBS with Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical, Paraclinical, or Public Health from any recognized institution with 3 (three) years of public health experience/working in National or State Health Programs; OR MBBS from any recognized institution with minimum 5 (five) years' work experience in public health/working in National or State Health Programs OR BDS/ BVSc with Master in Public Health (MPH) from any recognized institution OR BVSc with Master of Veterinary Sciences (MVSc) in Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology with 3 years of public health experience/working in National or State Health Programs1. Basic Epidemiology - 60%; 2. Basic Bio-statistics - 40%
4MA (Clinical Psychology)1664 years B.A/B.Sc. degree in Psychology from a university recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST category, minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is essential, as per GOI. The candidates who have completed their graduation programme in 3 years shall have to pass fourth year Bridge Course or first year of Masters Programme in Psychology with minimum of 55% marks to be made eligible- As per RCI Norms & GuidelinesSECTION A: General Awareness (Logical Reasoning & Research Aptitude) Marks: 20 or (30%) SECTION B: Subject Oriented Psychology Awareness Marks: 50 or (70%) Entrance Test Weightage: 70% - 70 marks Interview Weightage: 30% - 30 marks (Grand Total 100 marks)
5Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology (PGDRP)167a. Bachelor's degree (regular mode) with general psychology courses in all the three years OR; b. Master's degree in any branch of psychology either in regular or distance mode OR; Master's degree in counseling psychology either in regular or distance mode with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate from a UGC recognized university.
