KEA Begins Mop-Up Round for PG Medical Admissions 2024, Details

KEA Began Mop-Up Round for PG Medical Admissions 2024.

Karnataka- Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has begun the online mop-up round seat allotment process for postgraduate (PG) medical admissions for the academic year 2024. In this regard, KEA has released the schedule for the candidates who are willing to participate in the said allotment process.

As per the schedule, the online mop-up round seat allotment process for PG medical admissions 2024 began on 20th January 2025 and will end on 04th January 2025. Below is the complete schedule-

Payment of and downloading of admission order.

Last date for reporting to colleges with one set of Xerox copies of all the documents - as per verification slip.

04 January 2025-5.30 pm

ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PG MEDICAL MOP-UP ROUND

Candidates who have not been allotted any clinical seat in the KEA 2nd Round are eligible to participate in the mop-up round if they are interested. Candidates who have been allotted pre and para-medical seats can participate in the mop-up round only for clinical seats but not for pre and para-medical seats again.

In addition, candidates who have joined the PG Medical College after allotment of seats in the first round or second round of All India Counselling including Counselling for Deemed Universities or any other boards; and the candidates who have been allotted seats in AIQ mop-up round are not eligible to participate.

OPTION ENTRY

a The eligible candidates who have deposited the original documents will be allowed to enter the options.

b All the eligible candidates have to enter the options afresh for this PG medical mop-up round. The options entered if any, in the previous rounds will not be considered.

c As the seats will be allotted based on merit and options entered by the candidates, candidates are advised to enter only such options, for which they are interested in joining the college. Options can be entered even if the seats are not shown in the seat matrix.

INSTRUCTIONS

1 Candidates who have been allotted clinical seats through KEA 2024 either in the First Round (Choice 1 & 2) or in the Second Round are not eligible to participate in the mop-up round.

2 Candidates who have been allotted a PG Medical seat through KEA 2024 either in the First Round or in the Second Round and cancelled the seat are also not eligible to participate in the mop-up round.

3 Choice-3 candidates of the first round and allotted clinical seat in the second round are also not eligible for the PG Medical mop-up round.

4 Candidates are advised to visit the KEA official Website for seat availability / vacant seats for mop-up round allotment before participating as well as to know about the fee structure in different colleges/categories of seats.

5 Candidates are also advised to participate in this mop-up round after knowing/confirming the fee structure and after discussing it with their parents.

IMPORTANT NOTE

1 Original documents will be returned to the seat not allotted to candidates based on their request and only the candidate has to be present to collect the original documents by producing the original verification slip and ID card.

2 Candidates should not claim any ignorance on the allotment of seats and they should not reject the allotted seats since the seat is allotted to candidates based on the options entered by them and order of merit.

3 Penalty will be applicable as per rules to the candidates who wish the surrender the seat after the announcement of results, then only the original documents will be returned.

4 Hence the candidates are advised to enter the options carefully in the order of preference.
