KGMU invites applications for entrance to Masters in Hospital Administration, PhD, M Phil Clinical Psychology courses, Check details

Uttar Pradesh- The King George's Medical University (KGMU) is inviting online application forms for M Phil (Clinical Psychology), Master's in Health Profession Education (MHPE), PhD and Master's in Hospital Administration (MHA) Course Entrance Examination 2025.

The Entrance Examination for the said courses will be conducted on 25th October 2025 (Saturday) at 11:00 AM to 12.30 PM.

In this regard, KGMU has released the information brochure detailing the Eligibility Criteria, Application and Fees Submission for the Entrance Examination, Seat Availability, results, admit card, etc. As per the information brochure, the online application form is already available and the last date of application submission is 15th October 2025 (Wednesday). Following this, the admit card will be available online from 22nd October 2025 (Wednesday). Below are the details-

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

M.PHIL (CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1 Candidate must be an Indian National.

2 Minimum educational requirement for admission to this course will be M.A./M.Sc. degree in Psychology / Clinical Psychology or equivalent from a university/deemed university recognised by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

3. Candidates who have appeared in their final qualifying examination and whose result is awaited can apply. They may appear in the written examination, but they will have to present a passing-out certificate at the time of admission.

MASTER’S IN HEALTH PROFESSION EDUCATION (MPHE) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1 Candidate must be an Indian National.

2 Permanent Teaching faculty of Medical/Dental/Nursing/Allied Sciences at KGMU or other college.

PhD ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1 Candidate must be an Indian National.

2 Medical/Dental candidates should have an MD/MS/MDS degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate in Under-graduation.

3 Nursing candidates should have an M.Phil. (Nursing) or M. Sc (nursing) or a postgraduate degree in nursing recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The candidates should have passed M. Sc nursing with a minimum of 60% marks. The candidate should be working in a teaching Institution/Hospital/Community Centre.

4 Non-medical candidates: Non-medical candidates must be post-graduate in subjects related to biomedical science/life sciences/science/humanities/technology, with at least 60% marks in aggregate (in PG degrees) or its equivalent grade ‘A’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever a grading system is followed).

5 A relaxation of 5% marks, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled, economically weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the commission from time to time. The eligibility marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and the relaxation to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace marks procedure.

6 Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course work with at least 60% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘A’ in the UGC 10-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign Institution accredited by the UGC or equivalent accreditation body, shall be eligible for admission to the PhD programme.

7 The candidate should be employed in an extramurally funded project sanctioned by the Chief Guide of King George’s Medical University, Lucknow. The project funds should be sanctioned to King George’s Medical University, Lucknow.

8 Entrance Exam Exemption Criteria: Candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DST/DBT/similar government organizations and have the fellowship funds from UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DST/similar government organisations, sanctioned to King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, are exempted from appearing in the King George’s Medical University- PhD Entrance Examination 2025. These candidates must submit their applications and fees through the online portal of King George’s Medical University- PhD Entrance Examination 2025. A NOC/Consent certificate from an eligible guide of a department has to be provided at the time of counselling, failing which the candidature will be cancelled.

MASTER’S IN HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION (MHA) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1 Graduates from a relevant background, i.e. MBBS, BDS, BUMS, BAMS, BHMS, with a minimum 50% of marks.

2 The age of the applicant should be less than 35 years on the last date of submission of the application.

APPLICATION AND FEES SUBMISSION FOR ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

1 Application for the aforesaid examinations can be done through online mode only via the link provided on the KGMU Official Website. However, no application will be accepted by post.

2 Candidate applicants must create their login ID using his/her registered e-mail IDs & mobile numbers.

3 The candidates can then log in to the system through the password provided by them after online verification of their personal email ID to proceed with making online payment and application.

4 Examination fees are INR 4000 for Unreserved (UR) & OBC candidates and INR 3000 for SC/ST candidates.

5 Remittance of fees shall be done through the payment gateway of Indian Bank provided in the due process of online application. Candidates can remit the fees using a debit/credit card or through internet banking. Once the remittance of fees is done, the system will allow proceeding further and submitting the duly filled application form.

6 No application form shall be received by post.

7 The application form, complete in all respects, should be submitted online up to 15th October 2025 (Wednesday), through Online Mode Only. Incomplete Application Forms and the forms submitted after the due date shall ‘NOT’ be accepted. No communication in this regard will be entertained under any circumstances.

8 Candidates, who are employed, must submit their No Objection certificate from their current employer, if any. In case the candidate is selected for the course, he/she shall be given admission only if he/she has obtained permission from his/her employer and the prior sanction of study leave for the entire duration of the Course.

9 The candidate should ensure himself/herself about his/her eligibility for the course before filling in the application form.

10 An email of acknowledgement of the receipt of the application shall be sent to the candidates. The candidates can download their filled application forms in the form of a PDF before their final submission. They are advised to download, print and check all the entries made by them before the final online submission and store the PDF, both in soft and hard copies of this application form, for future reference.

11 The processing fee once received shall neither be refunded nor adjusted for subsequent examination. 5.12. All documents pertaining to eligibility, caste certificate, etc., shall be checked in original at the time of counselling/admission. No documents are to be sent to the Controller of Examination, KGMU Office. Only the scanned copies are to be uploaded during the process of online submission of the application form.

ADMIT CARD

1 Candidate can download the admit card from the KGMU website from the date mentioned in this Brochure. They shall take a print of it to be shown at the examination venue.

2 Admit card can also be obtained in person (in case of inability to download) from Admit card can also be obtained in person (in case of inability to download) from 22nd October 2025 (Wednesday) to 24th October 2025 (Friday) between 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM OR on the Entrance Examination Day i.e. 25th October 2025 (Saturday) from 9.00 AM to 10.00 AM. from the Office of the Controller of Examination, Pariksha Bhawan (PHI), King George’s Medical University Lucknow on Payment of Rs.100/-.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

M.PHIL (CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY) ADMISSION PROCEDURE

1 The selection shall be done by a merit list made based on the M Phil (Clinical Psychology) Entrance Examination-2025.

2 The candidate, who has qualified for admission to the M. Phil (Clinical Psychology) course, shall deposit the prescribed fee on the date notified for that purpose by the University. Those who fail to do so will lose their claim for admission to the course.

3 Candidates shall join the course within the specified period.

MASTER’S IN HEALTH PROFESSION EDUCATION (MPHE) ADMISSION PROCEDURE

1 In case the candidate is selected for the course, he/she shall be given admission only if he/she has obtained permission from his/her employer to do the MHPE Course. The selection shall be done by a merit list made on the basis of the Entrance Examination-2025.

2 The qualified candidates shall deposit the prescribed fee on the date notified by the University. Those who fail to do so will lose their claim for admission to the course.

3. There will be 3 contact sessions during the course.

i 1st contact session - 4 days (from Day 0-Day 4).

ii 2nd contact session-4 days (After 12 months).

iii 3rd contact session - 2 days (After 18 months).

PhD ADMISSION PROCEDURE

1 Only two candidates per year can be enrolled under each guide.

2 Reservation policy as per the Government rules

MASTER’S IN HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION (MHA) ADMISSION PROCEDURE

1 All candidates will have to appear in the Entrance Examination conducted by KGMU. Those candidates who qualify the Entrance Examination with a minimum of 50% marks for the Unreserved Category and 45% marks for the Reserved Category will be eligible to appear in the counselling.

2 Verification of Documents and deposition of the course fee.

3 All candidates fulfilling the above criteria will be admitted to the course for two years.

4 Any person leaving the course in between will have to deposit the complete two-year fees.
